Well my perspective is that it will have a positive impact. I guess those who have varying degrees of Trump derangement syndrome will see it quite differently. I took a lot of crap at school and at certain workplaces for my Morrissey fandom and I'm happy to take the same crap for being a fan of Trump.

It also very much depends on where you are based. We will have to wait and see, I guess. South Africa is part of the AGOA (African Growth and Opportunity Act) that was passed by US congress in 2000, and which helps boost our economy and relations with the USA and there are concerns what will happen with this under Trump, we are the US's largest trading partner in Africa, so hopefully things will remain stable. But then, there is also South Africa's support for Palestine and our intervention at the ICC, so we might suffer consequences for that, although our government will stand firm on that, I have no doubt. After all, Trump did call Africa a 'shithole country'. Okay, I'll stop boring you now!
