Any Morrissey Trump fans here?

I realise people here would be afraid to admit it but I thought I'd ask anyway? I am one of them. By "One of them" I mean a Trump fan, not a person who's afraid to admit it.

I’d love to agree with you because Trump is a charlatan and I allowed myself to believe in him for about 18 months eight years ago and I refuse to do so again, but you’re being hysterical. If you had said “they can’t or refuse, rather, to see what he might do in the name of helping Israel achieve absolute power in the Middle East”, then that would be closer to the truth. (Except they don’t refuse to see that and they embrace it for the most part, and would refuse to condemn it no matter how many casualties there are as with the past 13 months in Palestine.) They can’t see whatever it is you’re talking about domestically because it’s almost certainly not going to happen, and that includes mass deportations. Just like ‘The Big Beautiful Wall’ didn’t happen after his election in 2016. When it comes to carrying out those sorts of policies at home he’s completely useless just like all conservatives. “Owning the libs” is about all his supporters will get on that front.
What’s cookin, good lookin!! That is one hot avatar pic! Oh, wait, hi Born. I thought it was just me in the mirror for a sec!

Wow, you need help.
By that logic, so does your Glorious Infallible Leader, who was the first one to say that you can go ahead and grab women by their genitalia (if you’re famous).

This is spot on. Trump was largely ineffectual the first time around, and the threat line now is, "the adults in the room won't be there to stop him!" As if his new counsels RFK Jr. and Elon Musk are somehow shrewd and cunning individuals? I would bet on the second Trump administration being more hapless, not less. I think his 2024 run was mainly to avoid jail and get his revenge on the Democrats. His ego is satiated, and I foresee a lot of time on the golf course over the next four years. Trump won Dearborn, Michigan. What Democrats can't see is that Trump's Muslim ban wasn't nearly as bad as Biden's all-out genocide in Gaza. This has been adjudicated by American Muslims themselves.

One of the things I love about Trump, though, is his talent for humiliating turncoats. The way he turned hideous establishment creatures like Ted Cruz, Lindsey Graham, and Mitt Romney into groveling masochistic toadies was highly enjoyable. If he has a falling out with Elon Musk, and Musk becomes exiled and regrets losing out on all the corruption and self-enrichment, then in order to get back in, Trump will have him kneel down, lick the boot, kiss the ring, and make a grand spectacle of out showing everyone the pathetic unprincipled turd he is.

Thank you! Feel so bad for women, LGBTQ, anyone who is not a rich, straight white male. We are about to go through some things
What does that even mean? You feel bad for letters of the alphabet?
And you do realise Kamala had much more corporate financial backing that Trump? Way more. Her campaign dwarfed Trump's in terms of money raised from big business. And is it any wonder? What effect do you think 10 million people crossing your border has on wages, workers' rights, the cost of rent and housing? People aren't stupid. They voted against open borders for a reason - because they can see who it benefits, and who it harms.

His context was one of consent, the comment you 'loved' was not about consent. You cannot spin this. You made it clear you think women should be non consensually grabbed like that and this is the end of this because discussing this kind of topic with you makes my skin crawl.

Yeah, sure. That’ll fly. What an insane, yet creative, spin on the matter. And I wonder why you’re one of the most despised people here…

It's totally insane, but that seems to be the sad fact about her. She lashes out, can't back up her claims reasonably, gets triggered and lashes out again and then spins the narrative as if she has moral highground, which she once again clearly demonstrated, she has not. She clearly did understand my post, spirals into saying, that Trump is all about consent (don't if I have to laugh or puke at that) and that's all she can. Its no surprise that she voted for Trump and is proud of that. But to spin Trump, a sexual predator, as the nice guy and attach the awfulness of his statements to people, who just pointed out the awfulness is another grade of deranged insanity.

Trump voters are in a cult........................

And in other news, some totally normal behaviour at your candidate losing an election :lbf:

‘millions’? Cool.

I’m wondering if Morrissey is afraid to admit he’s a Trump fan? Or maybe afraid to admit he’s not a Trump fan, and he’s worried Trump fans are all that’s left of his fan base.

I’ve not read every tour post, but it does seem like he’s not mentioned the election at all. Which I find rather odd.

I can’t decide if that’s a good thing, or not.

someone asked him during a recent show, and he said something along the lines of … he’s ‘above it’ that he ‘lives on a higher plane’, called… ‘Greenland’ (If that’s what he’s actually saying?)

I prefer the Morrissey that sang ‘each time you vote you support the process’ lol. Though, it’s a line that I’ve always have and still do agree with. And he did repeat recently that he never voted in his life.

Hopefully he’ll comeback around to that way of thinking and stick to that higher plane, as I believe, artists should. As an artist myself, creating art and the way one lives as an artist… is a truer and better way to ‘vote’.

He's said how much he hates Trump before, and he once got the band to wear F*** Trump t-shirts.
But I think he's probably decided not to comment on politics publicly now, given all the trouble it's caused him in the past.
It does indeed seem odd not to mention such a momentous event at all, though.

I think he was simply saying - I can't stand Trump, but I hate Kamala Harris even more.

How did you twist and ring that meaning out of what he said?!:ROFLMAO:

‘momentous’ to who?

looking for an honest response from trump fans...
are you just willing to overlook the person he is and things he has done?
and what is he going to provide you that is worth overlooking who he is?
this is a real question as i genuinely want to know what the average trump voter feels he will do for them

Have you heard him speak lately? His words and tone are different. Something in his heart has changed.
You can not deny he loves people and being amongst them.
So I don’t think you have to “overlook” anything if you actually take an unbiased approach to who he is.

Keep in mind the numbers of votes now proves he was right about 2020. And if you really follow the politics then you can find all of the things used to attack him that have been proven to be factually inaccurate.

What can he do for me?
1. Keeps us out of ww3/any nuclear detonation.i find it quite odd how they ran with how “unstable” he was before but this time around there was no talk of that. And have you heard the world leaders reaching out to him already because they know what’s coming?
2. Keeps boys out of girl sports. I have a daughter that plays a college sport. So this one is very relevant to me.
3. They are going to fix the poison that companies call food. They are going to fix the “corporate greed” of big pharma and the food companies. His should be the most bipartisan thing of all time. Our food and the chemicals they use on it is trash.

None of those things the other side was going to do. “Womens rights” was their only platform yet no one can tell me what right any woman is going to lose.
