Any Morrissey Trump fans here?

I realise people here would be afraid to admit it but I thought I'd ask anyway? I am one of them. By "One of them" I mean a Trump fan, not a person who's afraid to admit it.

This thread makes me vomit. I am so so happy that I am not one of these dumb ass Americans. Because seriously, a convicted, sexist felon, a man that's clearly mentally limited, a man that doesn't give a f*** about your so called values, someone who has already shown that he isn't qualified for the job morally and professionally the first time around is the lesser evil? What a sad state of affairs, I hope you get all grabbed by the pussy, because - apparently - he can do anything.

Thank you! Feel so bad for women, LGBTQ, anyone who is not a rich, straight white male. We are about to go through some things

"Everybody's talking about me being a narcissist. Well let me tell you that I'm the greatest narcissist in the history of the world! Nobody is as big a narcissist as me. Those sciencey guys came around, with a big computery machine thing to test me, and the machine said...or maybe it was the sciencey guys... 'Mr President, you are the biggest narcissist in the universe and also the planet. You are greater than Alexpanda the Great, and Mrs Julia Caesar and you're also mightier than King Kong - the monkey guy with the fur and all that stuff. And your IQ is at least 1000-brazillion, even though you can't spell 'IQ', and you are much smarter than Sleepy Obama Harris. In fact, you're like some superhero genius king emperor and we want to have your children. And you haven't even paid us to say all this bullshit either; well, not yet anyway.' And then I started to fly. The sciencey guys couldn't believe it - they said it was a miracle. They all started crying. And then the computery machine started to cry too - the machine couldn't believe it. Everybody's talking about it. And then...and then..."

If you’re lucky, Trump fans, you won’t ever have to vote again! If you’re lucky, your Glorious Infallible Leader will put a stop to all that.
I'm sorry but that view point and those fears are now obsolete. The American public have voted them down in an historic landslide with not only a massive unprecedented electoral college win but also the popular vote. Trump and his fans/voters are not your enemy.

My first wife was American so I got citizenship back in the early 90s. I never voted until this year. Only because we got the new gaff in Austin
and I spend so much time working in New York and Los Angeles
I voted for Trump.
Do I think he is the ideal candidate to be president, no. Do I think he is always truthful, no. Do I agree with
all his policies, no. Do I think he is a brilliant mind, no. Do I think he is someone I relate to, no.
I voted for him because the other lot are worse. Trump is a man-child, ego monster but there is a truth to him that cuts through that.
A bit like M
He is like our fecking M, in a few ways the way he low-key boasts, the way he blames others, the way he flat-out lies. He is stubborn and childish and vindictive in a similar way to M but M and Trump are very different in most other ways.

The media have been lying their ass off about Trump for over a decade now and that alone made me want to vote for the
orange fecker.

I disagree. I don’t think it was ever a concern or fear among the Trump supporters. I think they welcome it. They welcome the idea of blindly following their leader. They can’t or refuse, rather, to see what he might do in the name of absolute power.

I am not sure why people who don't live here or vote here are expressing so many negative opinions, most of which are based on absolute bullshit and ignorance, about how we voted and why. You sound completely unhinged. I am actually enjoying the mass triggering, but worry about your own countries, we're fine.

I have been on Facebook the last two days and my fellow Brits are fecking nasty at times, all this "Dumb Americans", " Stupid Americans voting for the nazi ".
It's a hoot, Keir Stammer is more of a Nazi than Trump. Trump didn't lock up protesters without a fair trial, killing one of them. He didn't lock people up for tweets. It's a fecking joke. Keir is way more nazi

I’d love to agree with you because Trump is a charlatan and I allowed myself to believe in him for about 18 months eight years ago and I refuse to do so again, but you’re being hysterical. If you had said “they can’t or refuse, rather, to see what he might do in the name of helping Israel achieve absolute power in the Middle East”, then that would be closer to the truth. (Except they don’t refuse to see that and they embrace it for the most part, and would refuse to condemn it no matter how many casualties there are as with the past 13 months in Palestine.) They can’t see whatever it is you’re talking about domestically because it’s almost certainly not going to happen, and that includes mass deportations. Just like ‘The Big Beautiful Wall’ didn’t happen after his election in 2016. When it comes to carrying out those sorts of policies at home he’s completely useless just like all conservatives. “Owning the libs” is about all his supporters will get on that front.

People are tired of left wing progressive bullshit. Trump is real and why they chose to vote for him.

And the left have been lying for so long that they've actually run out of lies. I'm sure they will come up with some new ones and will continue to learn absolutely nothing from their mistakes. If I could've voted for him a would have.

The fact that the alt right believe that everyone not agreeing with them is an ultra progressive woke transgender vegan Muslim is sad and destructive. Most people want level-headed politics. Most people want common decency. And a safe and stable democracy.

But yeah. The sad truth is that Trump is very real.

Well I had my first old white gay dude for Kamala flip out at me today for saying I like trump. He was laughing about it at first, saying "I'm not gonna say anything," and then out of nowhere he starts going off about how I'm disgusting, how I should be ashamed of myself, how I should be proud to be Canadian (what does that have to do with anything?! I was the one wearing the poppy, he wasnt), and how he hoped I was happy with my life--all because I said I liked trump! He didn't even care to ask me why, just started calling me disgusting (HE'S the disgusting one, you should see his disgusting long yellow nails). Wow, I knew these people existed on Twitter I didn't know they existed in real life.

We don't believe that. I don't believe that. There is nothing "safe and stable" about unchecked illegal immigration, letting boys and men into womens' spaces or crying about your feelings when you hear something you don't agree with. Anyway we're done now. Harris lost and Trump won so now we can get back to some common sense and stop being so hysterical.

For better or for worse, the political scene in the US has a profound impact on the rest of the world. This is why people outside of your country have a good knowledge of what's happening there. It's also why, unfortunately, in worrying about our own countries, we absolutely cannot discount what happens in yours.

Well my perspective is that it will have a positive impact. I guess those who have varying degrees of Trump derangement syndrome will see it quite differently. I took a lot of crap at school and at certain workplaces for my Morrissey fandom and I'm happy to take the same crap for being a fan of Trump.

That’s my point. Those are fringe issues propagated by fringe groups. These are not terribly important issues for most of your political opponents. But you are led to believe this. Very few people want a completely borderless world or to let men into women’s spaces. Most anti Trump people aren’t rabid, non-binary vegan Muslim communists.

No, they are not fringe issues propagated by fringe groups, I live here in the US and you don't. I know what is going on here, you don't and it would be really great if you would keep your uniformed ignorant comments to yourself, because they are not true. I am not going to take the time or effort to even try to educate you because it would be pointless, you never deal in facts and you are not smart enough to know when you're wrong.

Maybe you took a lot of crap at school not because you liked Morrissey, but because of your personality? I can imagine that.
