All UK/European gigs postponed due to "logistical circumstances beyond our control" - management

As I mentioned earlier today, this has now come to pass.

NEWS// Morrissey tour statement.

Due to logistical circumstances beyond our control, the UK/European Morrissey concerts scheduled for July will be postponed.

We deeply regret any inconvenience to the fans and promise to reschedule UK and European dates as soon as possible.

All original purchasers from official ticket outlets will have the full ticket fee refunded, including booking fee, to their credit/debit cards. Refunds from ticket agents will be actioned from midday on Monday 2nd July.

The LIHS World Tour will continue, starting back up in Mexico City on November 23rd.

Watch for more dates to be added soon!

The LIHS World Tour has been Morrissey’s most successful tour to date, having achieved record business for the artist in both the U.S. and the UK.

July is the main holiday month of the year in many European countries, so no wonder the tickets haven't been selling well. That's why I didn't buy mine, because had already booked a trip elsewhere. If the dates will be postponed till autumn, will definitely go.

I don’t know. Those two stadium dates in la sold a lot of tickets alone and some were expensive. What other tour in the u.s do you think sold more tickets or made more money

Well, he only played 13 US shows on the tour - he's certainly played more dates on prior tours. Yes, 2 nights at the Hollywood Bowl is a lot of tickets, but still hard to imagine that 13 shows would set any records for him.

UPDATE: He played 24 US dates on the 1st leg of the Kill Uncle tour ... that's the only one I bothered to look up. Granted ticket prices are much more expensive than in 1991 ... so maybe that's part of the "record business" mentioned in the release.
