The tyranny of the majority is being played out with Brexit.

Most people who speak on this topic are reactionary. They don't understand the minutiae of what is going on. It's one of the main problems with democracies in their various forms. It acts a release valve for public disenchantment, but it also invites uneducated, knee-jerk responses that hurt minorities, and even the best interests of the majority.
