Morrissey will be leading the countdown from stage...

You're The One For Me, Fatty / Alma Matters / Shoplifters Of The World Unite / I Wish You Lonely / Rebels Without Applause / How Soon Is Now? / I Am Veronica / Sure Enough, The Telephone Rings / First Of The Gang To Die / Life Is A Pigsty / Everyday Is Like Sunday / I Ex-Love You / Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want / Darling, I Hug A Pillow / The Loop / Jack The Ripper / Dear God Please Help Me / I Will See You In Far-Off Places // Speedway

I think it will be that core for sure - he's not going to majorly rework the setlist in the short time between now and the shows. I'd love to see "Hooligan" brought hack as a final closer.

I think he will bring out some rare songs for sure. There will be the general structure of the tour, but hopefully some stuff from records like Vauxhall or Southpaw.

“And the year 2000 won’t change anyone here”.

2025 isn’t any different. Keep your balloons.

LOL
That’s such a funny thought. Would he sing Auld Lang Syne too?
Yes, the thought is rather funny. Can't imagine Moz doing the sort of faux bonhomie that makes NYE such a joy for anyone of a cynical bent. Probably easier to rustle up though in warm and sunny California than in cold, dank UK.
Come on, all together now - it's time for the countdown...

Here we go….. RECORD LABELS PLEASE NOTICE ME.

On a practical note… are Morrissey fans in LA in 2024 the kind to party at the Palladium until the wee hours? 10-11:20 set?
give it a rest you absolute ---- - --- ----, please.

people still saying it will be cancelled, will they ever learn.
the balloon will drop should be fun.

I don't know, man. He's older; it could just be that it's easier to remember a static set. Different people process age differently. I don't think it's laziness.

I get that, but at special events like these I think he should put the effort in to add in rarely played gems or even unplayed material. Imagine a New Year’s gig where he throws out Ammunition finally, along with the likes of Drag The River, You Were Good In Your Time and Well I Wonder.

Like back when he randomly pulled I Keep Mine Hidden from the sands of time. Even if it were for a few select shows it would be special and appreciated.
