I don't think he's a pacifist. He said in Autobiography, "I am not St. Francis of Assisi." He's said he supports violence committed on behalf of animal liberation. One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. Has he ever said even a word in support of the Palestinian struggle? He comes off as a bit of a delicate flower when he whines about bossy airport workers being "fascists," yet can't seem to empathize with the aggressive checkpoint tyranny imposed daily on West Bank Palestinians by his Israeli friends.
The reason I think he's obligated to say something on Gaza as opposed to Ukraine or the Uyghurs is because he never wrote full-throated songs of praise called Vladimir Putin is our very good friend or The Chinese aren't a sub-species after all and I really like the CCP. The line "I can't answer for what armies do" is not only ignorant of Israel's conscription policy, but a double standard when he criticizes the US on the basis of what its armies do. "The American way displayed proudly | is to show lots of teeth and talk loudly." Which is true enough, but what about the Israeli way? Not a peep from our man.
