"Low In High School" album cover posted by Linder on Instagram

Linder just posted what seems to be the cover of the new album! Nothing you wouldn't have expected from Morrissey, to be quite honest...

UPDATE 3:30 PM PT:
Image has been removed from Linder's Instagram.

According to a FB post by James Maker which shows said cover (Follow-up posted by Famous when dead: "James Maker has since clarified the issue - HMV is the problem"):

I publish this in support of a friend, and in the cause of democracy. Trade and Retail* have informed BMG that they will refuse to handle Morrissey's new album, 'Low in High School' on the grounds that the sleeve art is "offensive". Thus, the entire campaign is in jeopardy unless Morrissey and his record company rethink the album cover. x

(* The HMV chain refuse to stock it.)

Btw that is Mando Lopez son...

And by Famous when dead:

...Indeed, Max Lopez who lives in East L.A.
He was also present in Italy during recording of the album.

the cover is a bit tacky and not in a fun fioruccis kind of way. i suspect that has something to do with the gaudy gates in the background. that kid has a great look though--he especially suits the morrissey shirt--and reminds me of one of those goofy unassuming kids who grow up to be forces to be reckoned with. he needs a different background.

don't know, i kinda like the gates. Should we start a new thread? and take a poll ? ;)

Everyone who names an album The Queen Is Dead or Meat Is Murder certainly doesn't let the music speak for itself.

Sure, but whilst those album titles are pretty stark, the imagery is interesting and has layers, instead of beating you around the head with the obvious meaning. 'The Queen is Dead' having a guy on the cover highlights the double meaning of the 'queen' being gay slang, rather than just a blunt, humourless attack on Elizabeth II. Also, the 'Meat is Murder' slogan pasted to the Vietnam war setting opens up some cultural arguments beyond simply having a kid standing outside a butchers shop with the same sign.

It's not the attack on the Royals that offends me - it's the completely lack of any artistic merit, or wit. When someone has to hold a placard up on the cover to explain the joke ("Axe the monarchy - oh look, he's holding an axe - oh ho ho!') then it's a pretty lame state of affairs.

Still -look on the bright side - when the album flops, and the singles don't get played on the radio, Morrissey can spend months blaming HMV and the Royal Family for a conspiracy against him. That'll be fun, won't it?

If Kathy Griffin hadn't beaten him to it Morrissey would have this kid holding up Prince George's head and all the Moz Leper Colony would be doing cartwheels and hi-fiving each other with their stumps.

Touch my heart, that's all I want. But this is just plain trolling, as it has been for a while.

He is a pathetic charlatan. His bluff was well and truly called over confronting the British Monarchy. He was offered a platform and bottled it. Just as he was offered a platform to confront the David Cameron and bottled it. He is a troll who scarpers when challenged. The fact he's still droning on about 'the Royal family' whilst ensconced in Switzerland to avoid UK taxation just adds to the nonsense.

After the debacle of his claims of police harassment in Rome, this pathetic album art means his forthcoming release is now already a comedy classic. Let's just hope the song lyrics are as funny.

He really still thinks there's publicity kudos to be garnered by re-hashing the Sex Pistols coup 4 decades after the event? What a tosser.

Morrissey says he turned down alternative Christmas message to rival Queen

https://www.theguardian.com/music/2...-down-alternative-christmas-message-queen-bbc

He's a total 4kin CrankFraud BB.
Christmas is going to come early this year when high skool musical is released in November. Fingers crossed that BMG don't get wind of it like Harvest and Steve Barnett did and pull the plug.
He just can't help himself :rofl:comedy gold. That performance in Rome was classic when he had to get on his knees in front of a hundred passers by and suck Barone's cock.

Hope you are well and best wishes.

What has the UK monarchy got to do with Mando Lopez and family? Why does Jesse Tobias despise Beatrice and Eugenie?

And yes, only a couple of weeks ago a terrorist was arrested about 20 seconds walk from that photo location carrying a sword.

November spawned a monster.

Yeah, that kid really looks very dangerous and frightening with his Toys For Us axe.
And did you see the look in his eyes?
Evacuate the palace!?
Taser him? Why not gun him down immediately?
In this time and age, safety first. :squiffy:

I wish I knew why Morrissey is so perpetually butt-hurt by the British Royal Family. Why does he keep droning on about them? Did one of them once run over his cat?

They are essentially a non-issue in the UK. They cost each tax payer 62 pence a year, so even if they did 'axe' them and give us the money back, it's so little no-one would notice. Besides which, they'd need to replace them with some kind of President, who would probably cost just as much. Other than that, they have no impact on anyone's lives, so are a complete waste of time and energy to even think about.

If Morrissey really does care so much about the Royal Family sponging off of us, then as a millionaire tax-exile living in Switzerland, thereby denying the poor people of this country a cut of his wealth, he's a total hypocrite. If you care about this country, stay here pay your taxes and contribute - otherwise piss off and complain about the things in LA and Switzerland that annoy you.

It's 2017, the world is going down the toilet, and the biggest target Morrissey can find is still the Queen? Jesus - get a grip, Moz.

Having analysed Moz's style of writing I already know the disorders he suffer from and what he is like. As most people know writing small a's with an opening up top means that someone is a killer.

A way to disguise that is to always write with big letters.

Looks familiar?:

No "A", I know.

Jaz's Boyle Heights bastard kid on the cover, she might lose some weight now finally having popped him out.

They should have called the album 'Low Wit in High Places', with the cover featuring Morrissey mooning his arse from the top of the Eiffel Tower. That would have been a touch more classy.

The only LP cover with meaning in 2017; cut the monarchy, cut the elitism, cut the 1 %...
Well done Morrissey! So proud of you!

You do realise Morrissey is a multi-millionaire, don't you? And that, as such, he is part of "the 1%"?

Criticising the monarchy really doesn't really cut it as edgy political comment in 2017.

I thought he mentioned he was going to the MEN Arena concert in remembrance of the murdered victims in Manc.
I know he has said many bad things about Moz and people here but I happen to know he is the type of guy with a big mouth but a very good heart and empathy for the unlucky, the ones that are in big problems and need and who can't cope with the misery that hit them so hard. I like him.
Give it some time, he will be back! ;)

Thank you so much for the kind words above Qx3.
I didn't go to the arena gig last night but I wished I had reading the reviews this morning.
I've never been a massive fan of Noel Gallagher ( although I recently came across a song of his called the ballad of the mighty I which I love and rate )
Back to the point
Last nights gig at the arena was a huge success by all accounts :thumb:
Reports are saying that Noel shed a few tears when he performed Don't look back in anger and stopped singing as the crowd sang the chorus. It was the last song and he introduced it by saying "it's become some kind of anthem of defiance. And every time we sing we win, so keep on singing." Don't look back in anger.

I'm gonna go watch it on utube now. Such a shame Steve never rocked up to repay Manchester

Poor Benny. His unrequited mancrush Moz is a rich, international superstar who people actually want to hear from while Benny is likely a limp-dicked, whiny, Internet troll that very few want to hear from. And you really overdo the emoji, bud.

" Call the cops!, hallelujah! "
It's looking like Steve's gamble playing it safe and boring us all to death about the Royal family yet again has backfired :brows:.
Many thanks for your post above :highfive:

Oh, no, please, why did you say that.
Don't, don't, don't.
He'll change the cover of Meat Is Murder accordingly when he thinks it is time for an re-issue if he is on his self sabotaging mission as he now seems to be. :(

the only person who couldn't give a shit about this is the monarchy, keep those tens of millions of pounds going into their accounts in the form of the sovereign grant, ssshhhh nobody ever mentions the sovereign grant.

About £0.62 per taxpayer, per annum, last time I looked. Bargain.
