M:
I know. But, as far as I can see, many bands cancel and nothing is ever said about it. The song and dance made about my cancellations is usually from people who wouldn’t go to the concert in the first place.

sam:
But you will play the Canada dates?

M:
Yes.

sam:
Is your hand bad? Obviously it’s covered.

M:
The stitches are out now but if I had shaken anyone’s hand last week blood would have spurted. That’s not a nice greeting.

sam:
I don’t think anyone ever believes that you’re ill, or that you fell, or whatever.

M:
I know. Generally colds and flu are passed on to me, and there’s nothing you can do when your voice is your instrument. I go to abnormal lengths to avoid colds."

I know it's near impossible to have a civilised arguement here, but let me express: the saddest thing here isn't if Morrissey is racist, or not, or if you agree with him, or not. Let's look at things from a perspective.
How would you feel if you discovered a great artist for yourself, then searched retrospectively interviews of given artist (a director, painter, acclaimed actor etc etc - i willingly won't pick anyone specific) from the 1960s,1970s, just to see, what his thoughts were on art, life, in his elderly years? Only to find he couldn't stop blah blah blah blah blah about some f***ing newspaper picking on him, or how the media tries to silence him blah blah blah....exactly. Where is the art? Who cares about his thoughts on immigration or races, especially in every single interview? Same as when John Lennon just wouldn't shut up about his visa status on the mid-70s. Who cares now?! To think how maby other questions could have been asked.

The Manchester Arena Bomb took place on your birthday, and I was there celebrating with you, and I came into the room and announced that at least 19 kids were dead. You spoke out about it immediately, yet you weren’t invited to sing at the Arena event for Manchester. Why was this?

Because I DO look back in anger! I would have sang “World Peace Is None Of Your Business” or “Life Is A Pigsty” - or something truthful and meaningful. If my child had been killed at Manchester Arena I wouldn’t be lighting candles and swaying … I’d be in a complete rage.

It's funny that you bring up "La razza Italian" because in America, the large Hispanic advocacy group was called the National Council of La Raza. They changed their name to UnidosUS in 2017 after conservative kept pointing out the hypocrisy of a group called "the race" accusing Donald Trump of racism.

Um, no. And I haven't even got into the issue of Neanderthals.

Homo sapiens are not the only humanoid creature to evolve on planet Earth. We are just the ones that won out and for a time, there were multiple species of hominid alive at the same time.

After leaving Africa, the homo sapiens interbred with Neanderthals. The different human races interbred with neanderthals at different rates and blacks didn't interbreed with Neanderthals at all. They interbred with a different hominid that we haven't found yet but know existed due to DNA testing.

But this begs the question: How can all the human races be "the same" if homo sapiens and Neanderthals are NOT "the same". The answer is they can't. And they aren't. Because race is real.

And there were more hominids than just neanderthals. East Asians and Pacific islanders interbred with a hominid call the Denisovans. And they keep discovering new species of hominids all the time.

The idea of racial equality is so f***ing preposterous once you can actually look at the evidence.

I never talked about race equality. I never would say such a thing since I don't think human races exist at all from a biological point of view. It doesn't matter what kind of humanoids existed in this planet before us. Maybe there were hundreds of species and we know only just a few right now. Maybe the genes of lots of unknown humanoids are mixed with our genes right now, just as Neanderthal genes are, and maybe they are even more relevant to establish our features and our conducts than what Neanderthal genes are. But we don't know them at all. We only have complete data about today's humanoids, and all those belong to homo sapiens species. There are not more human species right now, and there are not enough basis to support the existence of human races into our species based on the atribution of some genes to a given extinct humanoid species. Some of our genes may link us to populations that exist in a given part of the world, but others genes may link us to others. The thing is what genes of that immense pool will we considered to put a given person into a race classification. Would you put a person in a given race just by the looks of that person? That's utterly absurd, because two people who look alike can have less genes in common than two people who look very different. Besides, humans aren't bred in cages. Just consider how many people don't descend in fact of who they think they descend. You would be surprised, but it's about 20% and growing as genetical tests become more popular. It's even more absurd when people say that a person belongs to a race based only on the skin tone. Skin tone was an external feature historically used to justify colonialism and specially used by slave traders from XVI century onwards when they kidnapped or bought people in West Africa, where slave trade was already a very well established cultural thing between people of the same skin tone. The existence of that historical and cultural background explains why lots of perfectly normal and good people in places like UK and USA still talk about "white men" and "black men" instead of just talking about "men".

An attitude you've also displayed in some of your posts. The difference between GodEmperorMorrissey, reelfountain, and you, is that they hold black people accountable for their actions, almost like equals, whereas you're more hesitant to do that as if you believe black people are not fully responsible for their actions due to lower cognitive ability or something.
