I love the novella. The movie is ok. Apparently Capote thought Audrey Hepburn was miscast. Completely agree. Not sure about George Peppard either, to be honest. Reportedly Capote wanted Marilyn Monroe to play Holly Golightly - but Lee Strasberg advised her that playing the role would be bad for her image.

Quite, although it's the 'oh-so-lame', using 'lame' in the slang sense. It's not bad word play.

Agreed--the. whole thing is playing on the idea of Morrissey as a saint, so where saints/Jesus made the blind to see, and the lame to walk, Morrissey is asked to make the 'lame' (I'm guessing people who hate him) to 'see' (understand). The first verse is very much a modern take on a Pontius Pilate asking everyone to explain their accusations against Jesus. . .

I remember the song Breakfast at Tiffany's by them! I was a small child when it came out, and I remember liking it. I still hear it in my head and haven't heard it in many years, it was catchy. My dad would drum to it on the steering wheel.
"I hate when things are over.."

Interesting that they'd make this song now. I enjoy it. Morrissey has such a strong influence on so many different types of people.
