I would imagine so.

Spending Christmas in the UK and then heading out to LA for a show on the 28th would be cutting it a bit fine even without poor weather and the threat of flight cancellations.

I'm a lot younger than Morrissey but if I was travelling that distance by plane I'd probably want at least a week after arriving to chill out and prepare for the gig.

Trying to sell 5600 tickets in LA around a holiday is much more reasonable than trying to sell 30k for an anniversary of an album nobody asked for.
