Are we dragging Damon Albarn into this now? If Johnny was so happy and fufilled as he wants everyone to believe he is, he would never have to mention Morrissey and how great life is without him and how there is mutual love with everyone he has ever worked with, except 'that one'. And he wouldn't need to keep this going when Morrissey made exactly one statement.

Yeah, let's finally make this split permanent! From now on, for Smiths songs live Morrissey can keep the lyrics and vocal melody, and have Jesse come up with some new power chords to go underneath. Johnny gets to keep the music, but has to come up with his own new lyrics to put on top. Neither of them mentions the other again. Everybody wins!

Marr wrote those songs as well. They are as much Marr's as they are Moz's.

Ffs he only played Smiths songs because he felt like it. Not to be popular. Because he felt like it and because those songs are as much his as Johnny's. Moz does not have to prove himself. He did that back in 1988. And countless times since. Listen to I Am Not A Dog On A Chain album. I thank Moz for giving us that gem in the middle of lockdown.

So it's OK for Moz to play Smiths songs and trade on his past ... but not Marr? Hypocrisy truly is the greatest luxury.

LePepe wrote the wrong chords/notes not the lyrics. Moz does NOT
use the out of tune backings initially provided by the 3 lawnmowers so
LePepe should have new words for his wrong chording. Not that it would matter since as it is you can barely make out what he is caterwauling about.
