There is an extended bit of press release there and Joe is quoted:

‘I Am Not A Dog On A Chain’ was produced by the Grammy Award-winning producer Joe Chicarelli (Beck, The Strokes, The Killers). It was recorded during sessions at Studio La Fabrique in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, France and Sunset Sound in Hollywood, California.

"I have now produced four studio albums for Morrissey,” said Chicarelli. “This is his boldest and most adventurous album yet. He has pushed the boundaries yet again - both musically and lyrically. And once again proving that as a songwriter and singer, he is in his own category. In truth, no one can be Morrissey but… Morrissey!”

So, to summarise:
Digital download,

Black vinyl,
Mporium w/l 'test pressing' (Limited to 100 copies?),
Indie only clear red vinyl,
Website only clear vinyl,
Website only cassette.

Apologies for the long post, lots of information happened at the same time.
Regards,
FWD.

The more I look at this picture I can’t help but imagine him in the retirement home.
This is Steve sat on the commode and the only way the poor staff can get him to have a “try” is to put his shiny shirt on and put a mic in front of him.
“Go on Steve it’s coming, one big push now” :pileofpoop::clap:

Benny-the-British-Butcher :greatbritain::knife:

Mocking is catching.

As horrific as Morrissey's graphics have been recently, I'll still be very surprised if this is the final cover artwork. Because if it is, it means everyone has given up.
But it is, unfortunately. Amazon would have said 'final cover pending' or sonething like that. The cover is crap, the first song is an underwhelming kitchen sink of a mess. I just hope it is not representative of the other songs on the album.

well said turk,as you get older you don't like what you see in the mirror, thats why I refuse to have my picture taken.still young at heart though.
Maybe that's why Dracul hated mirrors. He DID have a reflection but it was skankface shredded sausage skin.

I keep thinking the same thing! I refuse to believe it is real....but the press release is causing me to face reality...lol.

I feel that if he wants to use a photo, which I'm totally cool with, it should be a new photoshoot. Also need to hire an artist LOL I didn't hate the world peace cover though. It could have been done much better but I did like the photo in the concept.
OR if he really hates how he looks these days he could have opted for soneone else's face, like with The Smiths, or Interlude, or a building, or anything. So many fantastic images to choose from.
e.g. anything by Roger Mayne.

1. Those who dislike the Bobby track and also think that Refusal was a decent album - lol.

2. The last decent album was Vauxhall. Over a quarter of a century ago.

3. ‘Artwork’ Who cares?

4. ‘Morrissey is not who he used to be’ - human being in changed days shock!

Are all posts on here designed to be ironic?

The font reminds me of an Elvis album cover. It all sorta reminds of mid or late period Elvis best of comps or something similar

Hopefully a UK tour to follow album release, however so many on this site will not agree/??
Sure all MOZ lovers will still follow and maybe a famous return to the Barrowlands will be a dream.
Look after the Moz lovers and F@@@ the haters.

Looks earlier than that BUT assuming it is a 2015 photo, why the F**K would you use it for a 2020 release? Why would you use a 2010 photo for a 2019 release (California Son)? Is he ashamed of the way he looks now? An album's artwork is supposed to reflect the time and space of the music within. Can you imagine The Rolling Stones releasing an album with a photo of their 1981 selves? Just ridiculous.
I'm pretty sure it's from 2015. He looks older than the 2012 Live in 25 video and very similar to when i saw him a few times live in 2015. Not the first time he's used younger pics. Greatest Hits for example.

Ok. Fair enough, if your going back to the days of Vauxhall and whittering on about sleeves ect .... so what.... if you think that moz has done f*** all since them days , well why follow him, us , now ... your time has gone so leave us alone on this glourious day so that we can be moderately pleased without paupers and peasants pissing us off....

Did you hear that Melvis made the top-5 in Poland last year?!!!!! Top-shelf stuff, mate!

Thats the idea. Same with This is Morrissey. Those crappy old Decca compilations you’d find in motorway service stations on cassette, have got to be the inspiration.

Always nice to hear from the new kids.

Likin' this album cover 'cause Moz is just up there smilin'.
They've been workin' real hard to tear him down and still they didn't tear him down.
Let's go ahead and let'em have a smile for failin'.

Just shut up. Morrissey destroys himself. This idea that some "they" are trying to destroy him doesn't help him in any way. You're just feeding the delusion.

This would be a good cover for his song about Kevin Spacey "Where Were The Parents?"

Tweets are multiplying, that the critics (also called haters) would now snarl and regret their negative attitude towards Morrissey, because the new single would be so well received (IS SUCH A BIG SUCCESS). Diagnosis of megalomania in advanced stages.
