There is an extended bit of press release there and Joe is quoted:

‘I Am Not A Dog On A Chain’ was produced by the Grammy Award-winning producer Joe Chicarelli (Beck, The Strokes, The Killers). It was recorded during sessions at Studio La Fabrique in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, France and Sunset Sound in Hollywood, California.

"I have now produced four studio albums for Morrissey,” said Chicarelli. “This is his boldest and most adventurous album yet. He has pushed the boundaries yet again - both musically and lyrically. And once again proving that as a songwriter and singer, he is in his own category. In truth, no one can be Morrissey but… Morrissey!”

So, to summarise:
Digital download,
CD,
Black vinyl,
Mporium w/l 'test pressing' (Limited to 100 copies?),
Indie only clear red vinyl,
Website only clear vinyl,
Website only cassette.

Apologies for the long post, lots of information happened at the same time.
Regards,
FWD.

And of course Skinny IS a dog on a chain! Can you guess what the chain is??

Ahahsha

I can't get over how atrocious the album cover is. This makes Malajusted's cover look semi palatable.
Who's responsible for this design?
As horrific as Morrissey's graphics have been recently, I'll still be very surprised if this is the final cover artwork. Because if it is, it means everyone has given up.

Prepare to be very surprised. They're selling t-shirts of it on the Mporium website.

is it any worse than swords which has to be the worst cover ever or even earls court for that matter,25 live is still my favourite cover.a lot of album covers in the 70s were quite dark and used a simple headshot.

The more I look at this picture I can’t help but imagine him in the retirement home.
This is Steve sat on the commode and the only way the poor staff can get him to have a “try” is to put his shiny shirt on and put a mic in front of him.
“Go on Steve it’s coming, one big push now” :pileofpoop::clap:

WTF are all you girls going on about the album cover, FFS? o_O
It's the music which counts, not the f***ing album cover.
Jeeezus H, get a f***ing grip & stop wetting your panties. It is what it is....& at the end of the day you'll all buy it, regardless. Find something else to whinge about peerrrllleeezzz. End.

I really don't care what's on the cover tbh; it could be totally black, white or other, I don't care...it's not like anyone has a choice, is it?

That's exactly what I was thinking: it makes his weakest album cover look inspired in comparison.

It seems like he's just trolling at this point (which, to be fair, is one of the things he does best these days).

Sad.

FFS, a comment from the #1 loony dressed in a restraining gown at the lunatic asylum.
Is that the best you've got, skinny?
FFS, just. grow.up.and.get.a.job. :flamethrow:

Looks like a 2015 photo.
Looks earlier than that BUT assuming it is a 2015 photo, why the F**K would you use it for a 2020 release? Why would you use a 2010 photo for a 2019 release (California Son)? Is he ashamed of the way he looks now? An album's artwork is supposed to reflect the time and space of the music within. Can you imagine The Rolling Stones releasing an album with a photo of their 1981 selves? Just ridiculous.

Is this the real cover? I don't dislike it but it reminds of the CD bootlegs I used to buy in the 90s.
Any writing credits for the tracks?
Cheers.
I keep thinking the same thing! I refuse to believe it is real....but the press release is causing me to face reality...lol.

I feel that if he wants to use a photo, which I'm totally cool with, it should be a new photoshoot. Also need to hire an artist LOL I didn't hate the world peace cover though. It could have been done much better but I did like the photo in the concept.

2010 or prior.
It was posted in All You Need Is Morrissey frink thread 10 years ago and the photographer's name only links to the original picture I posted of it in one internet 'hit'.
So at least 10 years old or older.

FWD.
