Alain Whyte and band mini Ireland tour (August 21, 2023)

The BIG news is here and we're so excited to finally share it with you. We will be playing some very select live shows later this year in the following cities/venues:

29 November - Belfast, Northern Ireland (Ulster Sports Club)
1 December - Cork, Ireland (The Pavilion)
2 December - Dublin, Ireland (Whelans)

The gigs will feature my band of all-stars most of you already know and love:

Craig Gannon - guitars
Gary Day - bass
Spencer Cobrin - drums
Gustavo Manzur, Jr. - keyboards

We'll be playing sets filled will songs we've all been involved in (either written, co-written and/or played on) as well as a surprise or two each night which you won't want to miss.

Tickets go on sale this Friday (25 August at 10am GMT) via AlainWhyteMusic.com/tour & Eventbrite.ie

More info will follow, so please stay tuned. We really can't wait to play for you all!

Honestly, if I hadn't already traveled internationally this year, I would strongly consider pipping for a pop over the pond to see this. I hope they can hit at least some of the major markets in the States at some point - though I know it will be rough surf with the relative distances (Alain/Gus - southern California, Spencer - Philly, Gaz/Craig - England).

I'm sure @dneuer and like-minded attendees will capture lots of video/photo evidence for we global looky-loos.

Heya Jamie,

Sorry you can't make it. I'm actually surprised how many people are making the journey. There are some good fares from the US to Ireland currently that cover those dates, so that may have something to do with it.

Of course there is interest in doing shows Stateside, but these are it for the time being. If things go well (cautiously optimistic, but you just never know), then more countries will be lined up. The UK would be the logical next step and of course the US won't be far behind. Ironically, one probably isn't much easier than the other with the band split up as it is (Gus is actually in Texas... we've got three states covered lol).

And yes, the plan is for me to try to document as much of the shows and tour in general as possible. The trick will be finding time to wear all the hats at the same time! There are some good people involved so I'm sure we'll make it work. In addition to me, there'll no doubt be countless fans taking some pics and vids and sharing. I personally can't wait for fans to see footage of the first gig, because I KNOW it's really going to surprise some people. There won't be anything held back!

missed this one, prefer over the acoustic version. Sounds great! Don’t like to compare, but Oblivion is way better than any of Marr’s recent efforts.

Alain’s shows are gonna rock! Enjoy! to those that are going.

Any whisperings on England dates, yet?
Nothing yet, sorry. We’ve discussed a couple of options, but nothing even semi-concrete yet. The next round of shows will more than likely take place in England (as opposed to say the US), but with our focus on Ireland for now, other shows are only in the “discuss our options” stages. A couple of ideas that could be really special, but again… just hypothetical at this point. The mods here are really great about keeping up on any news, so it’ll more than likely show up here as soon as we have any news 😊

"Our focus"? What's all this "our" business?
Who the heck are you exactly?!

Bit rude that to one of the nicest, most genuine people about. Carry on.
Thank you for the kind words. May not have been intended as rude. I like to give the benefit of the doubt… sometimes things just come across differently online. No offense taken to the question, but thank you :)

For better or worse, I’ve been tasked with organizing and handling a fair share of the logistics for these shows. Good luck to us all 😉
