Alain Whyte and band mini Ireland tour (August 21, 2023)

The BIG news is here and we're so excited to finally share it with you. We will be playing some very select live shows later this year in the following cities/venues:

29 November - Belfast, Northern Ireland (Ulster Sports Club)
1 December - Cork, Ireland (The Pavilion)
2 December - Dublin, Ireland (Whelans)

The gigs will feature my band of all-stars most of you already know and love:

Craig Gannon - guitars
Gary Day - bass
Spencer Cobrin - drums
Gustavo Manzur, Jr. - keyboards

We'll be playing sets filled will songs we've all been involved in (either written, co-written and/or played on) as well as a surprise or two each night which you won't want to miss.

Tickets go on sale this Friday (25 August at 10am GMT) via AlainWhyteMusic.com/tour & Eventbrite.ie

More info will follow, so please stay tuned. We really can't wait to play for you all!

It sounds to me as if the "big news" does not refer to his solo activities. He had already mentioned these before.

Dear Alain, the Ireland concerts in all honour, but now 8-9 months past, you still refer to them and we are all not getting any younger. I want to go to the concert with a greased quiff, chain and vintage jeans, not completley bald with supenders and a walking aid.

Ok, so hear's the deal... First, thanks again to you and all those that have supported the band at any point and especially to those that have been there for the duration in some form!

I can't disclose too much without looking more a fool than usual, BUT... there are shows in the works ;) There were discussions for UK gigs this fall and then a chance encounter led to us scheduling a meeting with the folks 33 & West in LA. One of the founders is a hardcore, old-school fan that appreciates and knows the value of the lineup and literally couldn't contain his enthusiasm about the opportunity to work with us to bring shows to YOU. It's really pretty cool and we are fortunate to have these guys in our corner (we've made a concerted effort to try to work with good people and this lot fit the bill). As noted, we could have just showed up and played some gigs and everyone would have loved it. BUT, with them on board and their ability to put together something really special, we're being patient and shelved a couple of things for the time being. That doesn't mean shows won't be happening "soon". We're still working on something scaled down for this Autumn in order to come out of the gates running in 2025, both in The UK and... The US!! A couple of big things potentially in the works that should make a lot of people happy including a lot more shows. That's all I can say for now... other than thanks for still caring enough to support a band that sincerely still cares about you, not just as fans, but as friends... as a lot of you know 🙏
