Even if healthy lean meats were good for you, they aren't good for the animals who were tortured and killed for you to have your lean meats. That is what I meant when I said you can't do basic ethics: you just can't. Eating plants and abstaining from meat is perfectly good for you.

I cannot speak for the rest of the world but in Australia the farms are not run by human trafficking or slave labour.

I do not support the practice of factory farming but indirectly I could be without even realising it.

Big banks support it & those of us in Australia with money in super funds we possibly are too without realising it as the banks and super funds invest in this "industry", to get a good financial return.

Unfortunately money is the root of all evil & animals are just a commodity to them (not treated like living things with feelings) as the big fat shiny bums sit at the desks and make these decisions.

You have the right to make your choice just as everyone else has, but it insensitive to post a photo of a Keto cookbook don't you think? Interestingly in Australia Vegetarianism is growing, now at 12% which is quite a big number when Aussie's are known to be such big meat eaters, so change is possible. Younger people seem to the ones that are embracing the change to Vegetarian the most.

We also have had a big increase in Vegetarian restaurants as well.

Change is possible - but it is always going to be slow with things like this.

In Australia cigarette smoking was also very high but now it is 11% of the population that smoke & that is mostly older people that were not able to kick the habit - younger people are not even interested. You cannot smoke in public places in Australia (including bars, clubs, hotels & restaurants) so that helped, as well as extensive health campaigns to show the dangers of smoking.

But it does all take time to get change to happen................as I said before, small steps = bigger strides.

Of course consumers have a part to play in this too, but my post (& the link) was to show even if you choose NOT to eat meat you may be indirectly supporting it without realising as the money we have invested in banks and super funds are supporting this awful industry & sadly we have no control or regulation on that.

Change is happening with individual numbers going Vegan/Vegetarian as the numbers show. Which is great. I do not need to view a video to see "Meat is Murder" I already know it, and so do many others that are making the change on a personal level.
