Unfortunately there will be more heckling and more online monkey-wrenching now. He's pissed off way too many people.

It's all very concerning. For safety reasons security really should not allow anybody from the audience onstage now. No civilians should be allowed anywhere near him. Wake up, please keep him safe!

I made a fun discovery at Portsmouth this evening. The crowd response to Notre Dame is so muted that there’s no problem letting Morrissey and the band know if you don’t fully agree with the sentiment of the lyrics. I’m not suggesting that you can fully explore the dangers of spouting racist conspiracy theories. But, if you’re near the front, you can definitely let Morrissey know that it’s BS.

A word of caution... When you’re with the group that’s queued outside for 26 hours to get on the barrier, any criticism of Morrissey is unlikely to make you popular. Perhaps courting controversy was only ever an attempt to provoke a reaction. In which case, well done Morrissey. Perhaps the problem is that nowadays elements of the audience appear to be prepared to cheer any old tosh from M.

Much to be said for a protest on this one if you have the bottle.
