“There is currently something happening, a finesse and ferocity coming from Morrissey and the band that is unparalleled to anything I’ve seen in my tenure as Morrissey’s guitarist for over 21 years. It’s an infectious excitement coming from him directly manifesting through the band and into the audience leaving everyone in a euphoric state,” says Jesse Tobias. “As much as he and the band have historically been put against the ropes, doubted, disregarded and judged harshly while others are given a free pass, Morrissey and the band will liberate and astound everyone with our forthcoming releases and shows … that's if you are open to music as a method for change and genuine excitement.”

Houston and Flint now showing as sold out.
So, 6 venues yet to sell out since the August 5 announcement (~83 days).
FWD.

Lack of sales seems to confirm a dwindling fan base. Atlantic City ticket prices have been slashed to 29 usd.

1991 ticket prices have returned! There are sold out venues as well. But it does make you wonder about cancellations - I hope not - but we'll see.
I feel like cancelations are the only thing he is consistent with. I hope for the people who bought tickets to all these shows, that he does show up, stays until the end and puts on a good show. I did see the sold out venues, so I hope he at least goes to all of those.
We probably were paying that price in the early 90s, good catch!

The one that is maybe the most surprising to have not sold out (yet, anyway) is the Newark show. I flew in for that one a couple of years back and things were definitely on an upswing, carrying on from the successes earlier in the year (the midwest cancelations due to illness not withstanding). Turnout was good and fans were into it throughout. The band are different, the venue is the same... there's also another Jersey show. Could be several things, I guess. The only one on the list I'd be excited about is Niagra Falls (maybe Atlantic City, too... although I'd have preferred Asbury Park. Maybe too close to Newark, though). Niagra's a pretty cool booking.

Little Rock is looking a bit scary. The main floor area is 95% sold out, but the balcony areas have barely sold at all. And to think he was blowing his own horn about a 'largely sold out tour' in that public statement throwing shade at Johnny supporting New Order. :squiffy:

Eek. That is a bit sad to see. I hope he still goes on with the shows, and plays for the fans who want to be there. I hope he'd understand the lack of sales are do to his inconsistency of showing up on stage when he said he will.

I'm of course worried for myself, not being able to see him in Indianapolis, since that one's not sold out either. I'm going to peek at Ticketmaster's map later this morning to see how those sales are doing.

Indianapolis looks pretty well sold, and it has green and red dots, which might be resale? Which I think could mean the original tickets sold out? And it's a month from now, still time for people to buy. I do hope he comes through for you.

Good news. Love Matt Walker.
He shoulda could woulda (should still) add Boston. He'd sell out in a day. As they said in the Pepe Le Pew cartoons, le sigh....
