Camila Grey will play keyboards on the forthcoming Morrissey tour of Israel / Ireland / England.

No surprise.
FWD.

Camila has managed a retweet regarding her appointment nothing else as of yet.

Meanwhile, it looks like something is afoot elsewhere:

It would seem the writing is on the wall. And Gustavo would make a great and sensible addition to the Whyte/Day/Cobrin/Gannon band, especially in the live setting.

If - and that's the operative word in the Morrissey camp these days - Without Music The World Dies sees the light of day, it will be very odd that two of the musical composers/players have since left the band. I think that's a first. Mark Nevin left after Kill Uncle, Alain left as a session guitarist after Ringleader and, with the pandemic's aid, Boz left after IANADOAC - but never two at once, if I'm not mistaken.

And it remains to be seen how Buckley's/Galeano's fates play out, but it could be released with all but one musician from the sessions remaining. Odd times.

Wait, Gustavo joined Alain's band? Moz won't be happy he's stealing his musicians!
What makes you think it was stealing?

It’s a more that the new Alain Whyte Band is a band full of musicians who were replaced.

If Stephen Street would indeed produce their upcoming album, it would make for a perfect fit.

I guess there's no chance of Solomon coming aboard for the third time? Not sure if he had other commitments or what, but I was disappointed when he wasn't on the live tour for 2022. Alain and Solomon seemed to click really well on stage in their short playing time together in 2021.

can people on here at least give the new lassies a chance, whos to say it wont be better.
doom and gloom as usual.

Kinda likin' these new band changes.
Moz likes to do some switch up, change up ever so often.

True. Then again, it would have been nice if they stuck together a little longer, especially for those that didn’t get to see Alain with M.

Sucks, but I hope some good comes out of it for both sides. Alain & Gustavo seem positive about it, so that’s great.

From what we know, Alain and Gustavo quit more than were replaced.

Still, I was joking. I do wonder if Moz sees it that way a bit though?

I think they simply weren’t asked back.
Like usual.

I think Morrissey is more than happy with the new recruits. Hence the announcements.

The current drummer and bass player really never where in he band, just mere musicians needed for the season. Disposables.

I'd love to know if the non release of albums was a factor. As co writers, I imagine they were expecting royalties to fund the pension pot.

Yeah, I'm not entirely opposed to change. But first on the list to go should be Jesse, who has outstayed his welcome by at least a decade. If Moz is going for wholesale change he should dump the lot. Sam and Fiona can take a hike whilst he's at it.
