That is tempting, he's had some cracking guitars over the years.
That he has, mate. Hasn't he got a signature guitar by some brand ? Can't fecking remember now . I used to love trying to play along to Johnny tunes on my beaten up Fender, I can't pretend I was any good . I was pretty bad actually, probably why I got my first divorce .lol

Even a player like Joe Satriani couldn't play Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now and make it sound exactly like Johnny did. I've learned if you're going to play Smiths on guitar, play it your way - because you just can't do it Johnny's way, not right on the money- especially if you're going to sing too, forget it. :D

Interestingly, The Smiths' FB has creaked in to action...

Should be a great read, Joh

Should be a great read, Johnny’s had great taste on his guitar choices over the year. I bought Boz’s Flying V a few weeks ago (see Jools H, IBEH, 2004); why all the hate, especially from non musicians, usual toxic swamp of internet fannies. Go ahead, have your say, do your best and don’t worry x
Well, I gotta be honest with you here. While Johnny might have had great taste in guitar choices over the years, that doesn't necessarily mean everyone has to agree with him. I mean, buying Boz's Flying V just because Johnny had it doesn't automatically make it a great choice for everyone else :) And let's address this "hate" you're talking about. The internet can be a pretty toxic place, that's no secret. But just because someone doesn't share the same enthusiasm for a particular guitar or disagrees, it doesn't automatically make them a "non-musician" or a "fanny." Moreover, on https://paperell.net/narrative-essay-writing-service I have known a few expert writers who once offered me narrative writing help via well structured papers. So as a student, I trust them much enough, I decided to ask them to do a research on the topic we're speaking now and on the new book. The result was on my side. Therefore, I am not offending anyone, just keeping an open mind. Cheers!

Looks interesting. I know I’ve built 2 guitars for myself trying to mirror his guitars, it would be great to have some clear photos and information on the originals. My most recent build was the green / black burst telecaster he uses in the nowhere fast video, that has some definite non standard telecaster pieces and it would be really nice to see how close I got.
Post some pictures of what you've done , I'm interested.

That photo reminds me of this, I admit that any photo with a guitar and a cigarette also remind me of this because I love this photo

In conclusion, Johnny would do well to get a guitar holder for his cigarettes

so how many references to Morrissey in Marr's Guitars? or his audience is too woke for that?

It's out properly (hardback currently) in 3 days.
As it's image-heavy, it may not appear instantly as a digital book - if it surfaces as such, relevant parts will be shared.
Regards,
FWD.

They had it in Altrincham Waterstones today but they are sealed so you can’t see the content. It’s a big book!

Morrissey asked him not to mention him, so he probably doesn't, when he was on ITV news he never mentioned him at all but he did reference Smiths songs where is used a particular guitar.
