I was at the Jools Holland show and he did 3 songs. The other 2 are ... ' I wish you lonely ' and 'all the young people must fall in love ' ... got so close to him but yet so far... thought we might see them in the bar after , but no.

Note posted by Johnny Barleycorn:

This edition is the short version. The full show will be on Friday.

Bullfighter has become M’s (more lighthearted) MiM of late, so I can see why he chose it, but I had literally forgotten about the song I’m OK By Myself. I liked it at the time, but it’s an MOR album track.

Anyway, Moz and the band were on good form with Spent... And I think the Botox rumours can be put to rest — it was just Sammy putting some Youtube Photoshop tutorials to the test.

I'm OK by Myself and The Bullfighter Dies

Bizzare choice though maybe with the over blown outrage of his BBC comments maybe this is some rebuttal to being told his canvass is about to flee. Where'd the info come from

Is this confirmed? How bizarre. I wasn't expecting all new songs but 'I'm ok by Myself'?

I can't even remember how that goes.
I think it goes
"Nobody loves me, I'm the victim here, everybody has shady motives and are out to get me!" and then something about throwing up in bed, and NO NO NO NO NO-OOOOOOOH!"

That is essentially the gist - in Trump Twitterese, no less.

Oh come on. It's nearly the lyrics verbatim. Trump Twitterese... I may throw up in my bed now.
Honestly, it's one of his few songs that is lyrically so Morrissey by the numbers as to almost come across as parody. I'd be embarrassed to play it for someone unfamiliar with him and admit that I like the guy's work.

Man, Moz can be so bloody frustrating sometimes.

I thought going on Jools was all about showcasing new material with the odd classic thrown in. I was hoping for a version of 'All the Young People', which would have been perfect for the show, and either another new one or something like 'Speedway'. Instead, he's plugging two fairly average songs from the last two albums? It's odd. You'd think he'd want to show off some new songs.

I'll probably give it a miss :lbf: I still love the man, but if this isn't exciting fans like me, it's not gonna do anything for the casual viewer.

Maybe he saw that article calling for a Johnny Marr intervention and wanted an appropriate musical response?

I heard he did This Is Not My Country and Get Off The Stage according to my fake news provider
