Funny that he was telling Mick to get off the stage in the 90's, yet now, can't keep up with him.
Let's face it, Mick may still be jumping about on the stage but his voice is not and never was even nearly as superb as Morrissey's. And I'd rather hear good singing than see someone doing jumping-jacks. It's about the music, not the acrobatic and aerobics.

Take that, Mick!

The others seem alright, nice enough people, keep themselves to themselves but having her walked in doesn’t reflect well on morrissey in my opinion, for genuine people that might be at their one and only morrissey concert in their home city to be shouted at, punched and more by an aggressive girl and have their magical evening they were looking forward to end up in tears is really sad but for her to have the privilege of being escorted through to do so is insulting to his genuine fans and at odds with he seems to stand for.
I'm lost. What happened?

Absolutely, also makes getting barriers a bit less worth it - when especially last night people were literally either camping or spent the whole day since the morning outside, to be in the front
Yeah, it's always a bit of a lottery at shows as to barrier placements. But queuing up for several hours - even overnight - to get to the barrier, and you're STILL so far away that even at full stretch the most you can manage is to just barely touch fingers with Moz if he reaches out to you - makes putting in the effort a bit pointless. I think the best policy is not to bother queuing for these large venues, but go for the more obscure places.

the tour is over, another bunch of very good shows,a well deserved rest for M and the band.
wouldnt surprise me if there wasnt another mini tour announced quite soon.vivamozz.

It was great to see Hammersmith packed to the rafters. Moz must have been chuffed. And sweet that it was on Mother's Day too. All being well I reckon there may be an announcement soon of WMTWD dropping this year. Would Moz want to release it though with BOT still being in limbo?

Nonsense. There are many artists out there who don’t move around at all but have very energetic audiences. You don’t need an acrobatic front man to get an energetic wild excited audience. It’s not a circus act. Morrissey’s audience has changed and it isn’t because he has got older.
It's the same audience. It's because we got older.

That would be difficult without any management or a label. He could do it himself of course but I don’t think he wants to put his own cash into that risk and would rather try to find someone else to pay the cash.

I think at the end of the day it would be the quality of the product that needs to entice a label to part with its cash. I assume many labels have listened to it and decided not to invest.

There were a lot of young people in that audience. I don’t think it is as simple as the audience being older. The audience is still comprised of many ages. It’s not a cliff richard gig.

Someone mentioned the “argie bargie” tonight, and I have to concur. A lot of very bad tempered aggressive 50 something men who deliberately block anyone trying to (politely) squeeze through as if it’s their own personal kingdom.

Morrissey gigs have always been riddled with people doing that, especially those who think they are owed a place at the front of the gig. My friend, who is less than 5ft tall and a woman, was punched a couple of times in the face at one of the Morrissey 50th birthday gigs at the Apollo, just because we dared go near the front. The men are absolute losers.

Anyway, looks like a good gig. Hopefully everyone had fun, apart from the usual Morrissey fan dickheads.

It’s fair enough for the camping-out-since-yesterday types to make themselves home up front, God bless ‘em. Problem’s the people who don’t bother but still push their way ahead. On Sunday, woman in front of me was talking to security because some loafing oaf was practically hitting her trying to film and all that. I guess that’s the price you pay for the lightning energy of a Moz gig, particularly one in Blighty.

This is an unfortunate part of Morrissey gigs. Take for example Trina, an Australian lady whose first venture to a Morrissey concert was in Las Vegas 2022. She spent most of her time on the last couple of US dates demanding to the crew, venue staff and event promotors to remove Morrissey’s guests. Egged on by her Canadian and East Coast associates, this has continued into Europe where she was openly attacking people in their absence.
Any denials that follow will be futile, as will the gifts for Morrissey and the crew.
The Trina show shall not sour a poignant coming together at Hammersmith. Where Morrissey was at his succulent best. A sure fire return to glory for Morrissey.

Back of bootleg Meat is Murder t shirt for sale for ten quid at Hammersmith tube station. Presumably going to sell the rest at Crystal Palace but won’t bother going to Leeds!
Nice to see bootleg tees still being sold—I was beginning to think they were a thing of the past. Not seen any, at any gig, since Covid.
