I'm still a huge fan of Kirsty, I like her voice. I have never met her, I have met her hubby Steven Streen, he was always very loving toward her. I have enjoyed The Smiths post and this one. Makes me think M may be in a good place. The Fame comment in the title is just fecking childish but whateves

Steven Streen?

Steven Streen?

Yes. Him. Legend.

Although I'm sure a certain user, or former user, of this website has already tried it, with pleas pleas pleas to avoid posting anything on Central that might be misinterpreted. And to never sing Notre Dame ever again.
Are you referring to Malarkey? You seem to be suggesting they've made direct contact with Morrissey and his team. If so, isn't it up to them to decide whether to engage with those messages? Malarkey has shown exceptional single-mindedness, strength of character, and astuteness in patching together the many factors affecting the public image of Morrissey, in a community often aggressively hostile, which to me at least, only confirms the sincerity.

She said much that was interesting. But in her world Morrissey is as thick as two short planks, from what I could gather: simply ignorant, and dragged around by big political (preferably female, gay, and Irish) personalities.

I rather like to think Morrissey sees England as a modern regrettable shit-tip, and makes rational, positive, political decisions based on that belief arguable start point. Perhaps through nostalgia, perhaps because he still cares? Either is fine, by me.

But ultimately I suppose I’d like to think he still cares about Blighty, that’s enough for me (although actually I guess I wouldn’t blame him if he no longer gives a f***—that seems entirely rational and very British too).

No disrespect to the memory of Kirsty MacColl, but I wonder if every morning Morrissey wakes up thinking "Christ, another 14 hours to fill."
having 14 hours a day to fill would mean M sleeping for 10 hours a day,at 65 theres no way that is happening,as you get older you sleep less.

You're forgetting the daily pint glass of Vodka. And the multipal nocturnal visits to the toilet due to the violatile prostate.

you seem to know a lot about M especially his toileting habits.
violatile,is that a new word you have just made up.

I wonder if Moz has kept all his old fax communications? Maybe in his old age he'll release a book of them?
