Big Mouth Strikes AGAIN! Morrissey is filmed from his BA business class seat demanding to be 'let off' the plane that was grounded due to stormy weather

Excerpt:
Severe thunderstorms meant his flight from London Heathrow to the Irish capital was diverted to Shannon on the west coast of Ireland where it sat on the tarmac for almost two hours until the weather improved.

But once on the tarmac, witnesses said Morrissey demanded to speak to the captain and asked to be 'let off' the Airbus A320 as he didn't 'want to be hanging around in [a] coffin' for hours.

Video passed to MailOnline shows him standing at the front of the plane, in a blue suit, talking to a cabin crew member who is heard telling him: 'We have to put the paperwork in the computer, close the door and then off we go'.

Making a complaint isn't disrupting the flight. If other passengers complained about the clapping & he refused to stop it might have escalated - but it didn't.

Yes you can be jailed for being drunk on a plane.

The punishment for disruption varies depending on the severity. Acts of drunkenness on an aircraft face a maximum fine of £5,000 and two years in prison.

So then not for being drunk, but for disruption.

What's there to worry about, I agree selling the footage was a shitty thing to do, I also think selling other peoples albums with your signature was a shitty thing to do.

I disagree.

Any artist is free to autograph an album they used to love in the past, but not so much anymore, and sell it. Why not?

The fact that other artists don't do it doesn't mean it's wrong. And one is free to buy it or not.

Moz has a better sense of humour and creativity than most artists.

And some Moz fans have better sense of humour than others.

He wouldn’t have known how long it would be.

Why cannot passengers be left off the plane in a case like this anyway?
Probably security. They don’t have staff on the runway to escort people off unscheduled stops.

Phew - I'm also relieved it wasn't anything more than Morrissey being a bit of a grumpy get (something we know already). At least Damon and the crew didn't have to restrain him.

Could be. They could surely get someone if the plane is there long enough. Didn’t he get off a plane in a similar situation in Italy years back?

Moz probably didn’t want to keep flying on a storm at all.

And someone made a dollar signing other peoples albums to sell. how sad
I keep seeing this mentioned on here (sorry but completely off topic) - What Albums does this refer to?? I must have missed it, other than The Smiths LP's for sale at the Gigs.

its hardly united 93,complaining about a 2 hour delay is hardly new, every person on the plane was probably thinking the same thing.

It doesn't seem unreasonable to want to be allowed off, so I think the crew should explain better. One time, I waited on the tarmac 4 hours at Schiphol before flying to Canada, all because some people who had checked in luggage failed to board the plane, so all the luggage had to be unloaded until they found the unaccompanied luggage, in case it contained a bomb I guess. Very frustrating.

He sold some albums he loves on his merch stand. It was quite sweet really but came at the height of the monstering.

They only quoted negative comments from other passengers, but of course no one is named, so they could have completely made up those comments for all we know!

Thanks,

I think its a kinda nice personal touch tbh, Sort of a "little bit of me".

I didn't want to jump to the conclusion that people were complaining about Smiths and not Solo records being sold at the gigs, because that would have been pedantic beyond ridiculous.
