An REM thread for r.e.m. stuff

in case anyone is interested... i compiled (for myself and a friend) a four disc boxset of r.e.m. rarities. a miraculous hodgepodge of all eras of the band, various sources and sound quality, heavily inspired and structured after guided by voices' suitcase boxsets. maybe not a format for everyone but for me it's been a great way to consume the best non-album r.e.m. out there. dig it:

Hello everyone, does anyone have a recording of The one I love performance from this video (starting at 2:15)?

I'm sorry to say this to whoever did this job, but it sounds terrible to my ears. They've just exploded the trebles and made it distorted. The original recording I have (named "That Beat In Time") sounds a lot more comfortable and honest.

totally agree here. it's shocking how much they ruined it. that hi-hat has become ear piercing and the bass is muddy when compared to the original soundboard recording and the That Beat in Time bootleg. It's possible to boost the volume without overmodulating. But this is a hack job.

I'm trying to find these shows with no luck. I checked on archive.org too. If anyone can help it's greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hey chief, every single one of these shows is on the Archive. took less than one second to plug the title into google to get a result for east show. There's a lot of different OOT outtakes. There's one called time of outtakes on archive.

I found them. Thank you. I think i just searched archive.org originally and nothing came up for those. My apologies. I just didn't find this one there:
1990-07-xx Out Of Time Studio Outtakes JEMS

It supposedly has the best sound out of all the OOT outtakes.

A little more info please. Where did you find out about such a set, specifically a JEMS master? Might help me searching for it if you can provide more info. I can't find anything where any OOT outtakes are listed as JEMS masters. Not saying it doesn't exist, but I don't have it in my archive and I can't find any reference to it anywhere on the internet (not just IA). I have a few physical OOT demos bootlegs (Peace and Love, Anyone?) plus sets like Trolling For Olives, Outtakes of Time, Time of Outtakes, Out of Time Demos and of course the Special Edition of the the Out of Time 25th Anniversary which has the highest audio quality demos of them all, but can't find any reference to a JEMS remaster.
