All UK/European gigs postponed due to "logistical circumstances beyond our control" - management

As I mentioned earlier today, this has now come to pass.

'Logistical issues'.

From @gigsandtours / Twitter:

NEWS// Morrissey tour statement.

Due to logistical circumstances beyond our control, the UK/European Morrissey concerts scheduled for July will be postponed.

We deeply regret any inconvenience to the fans and promise to reschedule UK and European dates as soon as possible.

All original purchasers from official ticket outlets will have the full ticket fee refunded, including booking fee, to their credit/debit cards. Refunds from ticket agents will be actioned from midday on Monday 2nd July.

The LIHS World Tour will continue, starting back up in Mexico City on November 23rd.

Watch for more dates to be added soon!

The LIHS World Tour has been Morrissey’s most successful tour to date, having achieved record business for the artist in both the U.S. and the UK.

We thank all the fans for their support. -

Mine says the same too. A shame; couldn’t they have merged the two Manchester nights if sales were lower than anticipated, or too soon? Mind you, I guess it’d be chaos for the other nights.

Paradoxically, this is good news, folks, for those of us that want to see Morrissey continue his recording and touring career. He has hopefully now realised he can't just say anything he wants to with no consequence. He has offended a huge chunk of his core fan base. His political comments have been idiotic, offensive and ill thought out. He must now either avoid the world of politics and international affairs completely or go and educate himself it, and stop making utterly twattish statements e.g. using phrases such as the 'loony left' and telling the world that the only problems with Israel are that everyone else is jealous.
Moz can only return to former glory if he does 3 things:
1. Change his band and songwriters. They've been great but it is time to move on.
2. Shut his mouth except when singing and eating/drinking/slobbering all over his partner.
3. Make a great record.
There's a chance for number 3 but not 1 and 2, me reckons.

By the way, I just wanna say - can we remember the golden times of the 1983 acoustic Peel Session version of Back To The Old House, that Johnny wrote when he was 19? Oh my stars, the genius.

Who knew one of the writers would crap upon it from a great height?

He hasn't. The song still exists and is as wondrous and beautiful as the day it was recorded. Only thick as pig shit twattish idiots like yourself would think otherwise. I still cannot understand how someone who thinks themselves so clever and worthy can repeatedly make themselves look like such a f***-witted fool on a public forum.

The music remains totally untarnished. Morrissey has cancelled a few gigs. So f***ing what? He's said a few stupid things. So f***ing what? Hatful of Hollow remains and will always be a work of absolute genius. Nothing else matters.

Oh and Low in High School is appalling, I'm not a racist and you are a complete twat.

When will people listen to me and take my word for it when I tell them something. Anyone surprised by this probably believes in the moon landing and dinosaurs as well along with a few other things.

Moz was busy cutting my birthday cake is all. Couldn't be arsed with touring. He loves it when he gets to lay down and I rub his tummy when he's full of cake.
He can purr like a cat.

He'll need to do more than just shut his mouth. He would have to recant and appear sincere about it. Which I for one can't picture.

This is sad. Bullies won. I can't believe that sinister character Haslam is showing public satisfaction about it. The impunity of fascism is the the oppression of individuality and freedom.

I'm in Manchester the following weekend and was GUTTED to be missing Moz (I booked hotel and flights before the tour was announced). So glad I am now that I didn't reschedule everything to suit Moz. What a balls for ticket buyers.

You still can go to the event "love bullies hate people" sponsored by The Guardian & co.

Didn’t you tell us you were dead?

Just when you thought there couldn't possibly be any more drama! 'Logistical circumstances'? That just simply translates to logistically, we haven't sold enough tickets to continue with the tour. Boring.

Think the issue may have been that sales were considerably lower than what it would have taken.
