the beginning stuff is exciting, and was hoping he would have gone more into those early hip hop days. His comments later about Cash’s reactions asking him to cover NINail’s Hurt were pretty funny.

either. Like it. Like the MCA one.
It'd be kinda nice to have Rick make
me a Playlist of his favorite early
Hip Hop records. Would probably
learn some other new ones.
Kinda wish they woulda kept talking
about the early Hip Hop too, especially
working with Public Enemy.
I heard a story where Rick called
Chuck D every day for 2 months to
get him to sign with Def Jam, because
Chuck was thinkin' of just gettin' a
office job to support his family.

I love how he thinks, and I LOVE his accent. Mick Jagger and Brian Jones were my first MAJOR crushes when I was 11 years old. I was obsessed to the point that it started to affect my schoolwork. My dad hated it. He would take my tapes and my tape player away from me quite often. I could not understand it then, of course, sex, drugs, and rockin' roll, but now I can only imagine what must have gone through his mind...
