Never heard of it. Is it on Netflix? I'm at work 😩

It's on TV!

Given that Marianne was his great love and his muse etc and that he was going on about her great beauty and wisdom all his life, she just comes across as an annoying girl. The actor who plays Leonard Cohen has a huge mole. Why would they pick someone with a huge mole to play Leonard Cohen?

The images of Hydra are gorgeous, though!

I think it'd be worth watching even if it isn't much good. I don't know much about Leonard Cohen's life story. If I had cable I'd watch it!

I noticed the two short posts I wrote in the Earl Holliman thread received 18 reactions in total, whereas I’ve had to post 14 times in the off-topic section to receive that same amount of reactions. This won’t do. I should start posting more often on the Morrissey side of the forum, where I’m appreciated!

I’m sure Morrissey would love to have me back on his side of the forum. When I saw him in 2011, during ‘Action Is My Middle Name’, he looked and pointed right at me when he sang “you are my possession, you don’t realise yet”. Here’s a picture from that night:

As you can see, no one else was around me who he could have been pointing at. The guy in yellow in front of me? I don’t think so! He wanted the brown haired 22 year old youth in the white chequered shirt and black stonewashed jeans. But you couldn’t HAVE me, could you Moz!? I entered nothing and nothing will EVER enter me, got it?? Now that I’ve ghosted you for long enough I’ll come back to your part of the forum.

P.S. Don’t think I didn’t notice you the other day when I was walking through the park and you were sitting there on the bench with your red face acting like I wouldn’t know it was you!!!

This morning my dog was my alarm clock because I slept through the real one at 5:30. I was 12 minutes late for work...and, yes, I panicked. But for what? I'm hardly ever late and I never miss any days.

I'm tired.

First of the gang to die became a reality for me today as the first of our group of friends since school (and a big Morrissey fan) passed away this morning after falling and banging his head a couple weeks ago. I suppose the only positive to come out of this is that we had been to the football and he’d had a few beers so he passed after doing what he liked and wouldn’t have know much about it. Just shows how fragile life is.

true indeed. im watching my relatives age and fall in rapid succession. sorry about your friend. its good that you spent the time you could with him though we can never do enough or all that we want to for our loved ones. were all teacups waiting to one day break (pavers reference about him watching his children sleep and think about how fragile life is)

I think there are some good documentaries out there if you want to get inside Cohen's mind and life. Hallelujah: Leonard Cohen, a Journey, a Song (2021) is apparently very good if you're interested in Cohen (did you know he was engaged to Rebecca de Mornay in his older days?). But the one that I've been watching is so strange: the actor who plays Leonard Cohen just doesn't have the aura and charisma... like, there is this scene in which they sit in this lovely taverna with their friends and drink wine, and Cohen picks up his guitar and plays Bird on the Wire for the first time ever cause he'd just composed it, and everybody is supposed to be totally amazed (obviously), but watching it I felt absolutely NOTHING. How is that even possible? Strange missed opportunity.

That's very sad to hear. I'm sorry for your loss.

Thanks, I'll look for that documentary on YouTube. It'd be interesting to learn more about him. (I didn't know that about Rebecca de mornay!)

Sweet man. Loves his 🐰. ❤️

Society would benefit from having the passerby locked up for a long time and having him go through rigorous evaluation of his mental health. This is a dangerous, sick, individual.

So, I am watching the Forstye Saga (again, lost count of how many times I've watched it) and was curious about the actor who plays Jon, thought he looked like he could be in Suede. I look him up, and find out that is him on the the cover of Coming Up.
