Page Six Secret Service probe follow-up: emails from Morrissey's manager; meeting took place December 9, 2017 for 30 minutes in NYC (January 18, 2022)

Another fake news story makes it's way into the pages of page 6. Does anyone really have to back anything up with facts anymore? Did the Leonardo person even cross reference with Morrissey's management? Obviously not. Will this person get fired for reporting fake news? NEVER He will actually get a promotion!
I do think this is fake, not that Morrissey got questioned, but all the 'documentation', unless there is some other independent source to verify.

Phew. It could have been a lot worse. Can you IMAGINE what the outcome might have been if SE-R had been allowed to attend? Lots of opportunities thereafter for GCSE level photoshopping of our boy on a Gitmo gurney wearing a dreadful bright orange jumpsuit. I'm sure, as I write, Saint Fiona is already baking a cake with a file skilfully concealed within.

I don't understand why this is an issue, the interview happened years ago. This doesn't look 'official' to me, but whatever. This is certainly not how the FBI does things.
what would the official one look like, come on red your looking for something fishy and you dont have a fishing rod.

Are you Austin Powers, International Man of Mystery?

Jason Leopold does not work for NY Post. He works for Bloomberg and did not report on anything pertaining to his beat.

He made a FOIA request, likely out of boredom - tweeted the reply - at which point NY Post picked it up.

You people really aren't very smart. It's taken this for me to understand how clueless most of you are.

It's so odd.
Amen. I don’t agree w all you just posted but this sums this thread up perfectly.

All you tough guys and gals, if you had the guts to test the SS you’d be begging on your knees saying ‘it’s all just a joke’.

(you) may not like them, but they don’t fk around.

Can we just drop this now and maybe talk about Mozzer‘s music?

Now that Rebels has been on our playlists for a month, what do we think?

your secret is safe with me

I don't mind him, his vaccine stance aside.
Trump = Greg Stilson (played by Martin Sheen) from The Dead Zone. Without the charisma, talent, good looks, or hair.

It's amazing, in the worst possible way, that the Secret Service waste their time on something like this. Did they honestly and for real even consider the idea that Morrissey might want to kill Trump?
Jeez, well, at least they are the Secret service and not the 'Intelligence Bureau' otherwise they'd have to change their name.

Personal assistant during probable Secret Service questioning: My master says penis mightier than sword and he would never hurt anyone.

Interesting.!! I just wonder did Roger waters was question too by the CIA or FBI ? 🤔.

Journalists who lie?

Why this is being investigated now, interests me. From what I've seen, it's time to dub Jason Leopold an honorary Morrissey fan. In fact I'm pretty sure he has been a fan for a long time. "you're in already/
You might as well stay awhile." : )

However, I feel his inquiries in this case are not really even about Morrissey.

Jason Leopold has worked for a whole range of prestigious publications including Buzzfeed, Vice, the Guardian, Al Jazeera and many more, with his focus on investigative reporting of military and security matters. Note he likes punk and collects band t-shirts - https://muckrack.com/JasonLeopold

What he has been looking at recently is the state of NSA records, some relating to Trump, and an important story concerning revelations about unauthorised NSA surveillance as raised by Snowden and peers -

So from what I gather, the reason this incident with Morrissey has attracted his attention is because of any light it might shed on the integrity and accountability of the policy and procedures followed by the Secret Services. Re. his Snowden feature, he noted: "The IG also called to attn a lack of oversight by NSA officials who told the IG they were aware of the analyst's project but didn't understand what he was doing."

Is the CIA falling into the same pattern of disregard for standards with Morrissey? That's what I sense Jason Leopold is questioning. It's not about Morrissey but about the behavior of the Secret Services.

He has detailed the steps he's taken to unearth the truth about the interview between Morrissey and the Secret Service dudes in this clear Twitter thread - which delightfully includes a Morrissey song!

By the way, did anyone notice this?!

This entertaining side effort I am sure does not amuse Leopold's superiors at Bloomberg, who are probably wondering why their reporter is spending time on stuff their subscribers (bankers and rich people) don't care about.
