IANADOAC international charts - Spain #7, Portugal #12, Germany #13, Austria #32, Italy #89, France #117

The album entered the Portuguese chart at number 12, according to this:

(My Portuguese is non-existent, so apologies if this is some kind of bullshit "not real sales" kind of chart.)

Posted by Morrissey Isn’t Very Good:

Remember Morrissey said he was number 1 in Poland, even though he was showing the daily chart of a record shop in Poland and not the official Polish Album Chart? Well, shock of shocks, he didn’t make the top 50. http://olis.onyx.pl/listy/index.asp?lang=

He’s in the official French Album Chart! New entry at 117. https://snepmusique.com/les-tops/le-top-de-la-semaine/top-albums/

Number 13 in Germany. That’s a lot better. https://www.offiziellecharts.de/charts/album

Number 7 in Spain. He’s getting there! https://www.elportaldemusica.es/lists

Number 89 in his beloved Italy. https://www.fimi.it/top-of-the-music/classifiche.kl#/charts/1/2020/13

Number 32 in Austria. http://www.austriatop40.at/longplay.php

I saw Morrissey at Leeds in 2004. I also saw the White Stripes because they were apparently much more popular than Moz and when I turned around to leave, I couldn't get out. So instead of Supergrass I saw Meg White. I'm still not sure if that was a fair trade.

I had so much fun at Reading Festival 2004, what a great year to go!

Seeing Soulwax and Supergrass was great, Wildhearts and Modest Mouse were fantastic too! I've never been to Reading Festival and spent so much time away from the main stage than I did that year.

Not sure if his heart still belongs to Italy; wasn't there some souring when a Carabinieri pulled a gun on him when his nephew drove the wrong way down a one way street.??

Why some people in here when run out of plausible arguments start swearing so much. Is this a British thing? Please, I'd like to know so as to get acquainted with the culture.
Don't think it's a British thing more a sign of an individual who is incapable of behaving in public, the poster you've highlighted is a very strange character indeed. Someone you'd cross the street to avoid as they just come across as really 'orrible.

I live in Glasgow and haven't a clue what you mean, care to elaborate?

It was a joke about how sweary we are, for example a friend greeted another friend with hiya ya f-king c-nt.

But you might live in Strathbungo.

Never experienced pals using that language as a greeting & why would they and no I don't live there, you are exaggerating and you know it.

It. Was. A. Joke.

And you're really going to pretend Glasgow doesn't swear a lot?

Well to me it looked like you were trying to perpetuate the myth of Glasgow being more uncouth than anywhere else in the UK, truth is People Are The Same Everywhere.

the UK album charts for this week is out. Dog dropped from the TOP 100 in its second week

I really don't think anyone's interested in how couth or uncouth Glasgow is.

Thank you for clarifying. No offence, but now I understand a bit more why Moz once called this place so low.

No offence taken, it's a shame really but they're are several people on this site who are only here to troll Moz and they've made that crystal clear, still don't understand it myself.

I got the vinyl through Crash records in Leeds.

I had also ordered the CD but they told me they were having problems getting the CD from the distributors so there are obviously some problems.

My order is still on hold.
My vinyl arrived today. Bloody brilliant!

There is always a but:
Am I deaf or is there a printed verse he doesn't sing in Darling I Hug A Pillow: "roll and then rage and then roar for one hour, for 55 million years hence you will lie down as powder". Wha??!!!

you can have a listen on youtube till your copy comes through.your right it couldn't have been released at a worst time but it really was just bad luck.

I am using and paying for Spotify, so I can access all the music I want. YouTube is also a great source. But I like to have a physical copy of every Morrissey release.

Never liked the Stripes myself and I've never seen Supergrass but they've certainly had some decent songs so yeah you lost out there.

I have seen both live once. Supergrass is solid. Jack White is more eccentric and a bit crazy, but not in a bad way.

Yes indeed. And he was scheduled to play live shows in Italy (at various opera houses) in September 2017, but cancelled them after the incident you mentioned. He hasn't returned to Italy since.
But I thought the love affair between Morrissey and Italy was mutual, so what happened to Italian fans?

Looking at the stats, many of them got corona...14.6k have died from it.
