Mums know everything!

But where would that idea even come from? It's like some major Druid/Inca type shit. {My Mum was not a Druid. Nor an Inca. They never reached Cork...}

I've no idea. Mine says it all the time too & she's a Gaelic speaker from the Isle of Lewis.

Must be folklore.

Hey Moz, thanks for doing this! Longtime fan here. How much longer do you think it'll be before the Jews reach the final stage of their plan to destroy White culture with their mass immigration schemes, race riots, pornography and drugs?

:lbf: Forgot about them few bad apples.

Well, if it was a safe space, those members/anons would
have been booted out long ago.

And of course, those that criticize Moz negatively, would also get the boot.

As predicted, arriving at some indies ready for next week. Although, I suspect some will sell earlier than that.

FWD.

Well, RSD came early. Thanks to covid, indie stores have been through the wringer since about March and the RSD changes haven't helped. So, the idea of 'flexible drops' depending on the store and customer base is something I truly appreciate and wouldn't mind staying even after (when?) the virus is more under control.
That said, I got everything on my list.
Further, due to reasons that need not be discussed here, I was lucky enough to go collect it all today and am very pleased with the things on offer.
The Morrissey 10" will be highlighted here on RSD itself, but it is a very nice 10" and is one of the few (please correct me) Morrissey products that doesn't have his name or details all over the actual vinyl - it is just a nice translucent picture of Lili (with tiny faint wording around the edge).
Luckily, despite posts telling me how awful it is, how someone isn't going to buy it, the track choice is crap etc....free will and capitalism allow me to purchase what I like and ignore people who can't grasp subjective arguments or personal choice. :)
Regards,
FWD.

I hope to be able to obtain a copy on Saturday morning - I like to think of it as a way of celebrating Southpaw Grammar's 25th anniversary this year.

re: Fantastic Bird .... is it possible that just the backing track is from 1992 and that the single vocal take was added during the Southpaw sessions?

eBay for me í'm afraid.

There is nothing in the liner notes -or Morrissey's "Southpaw Grammar diaries"- that would warrant this assumption. It just says "recorded in 1992" and "produced by Mick Ronson".

"...an unmixed throwaway, this vocal being the one and only vocal ever attempted."

I guess it's possible, but unlikely. And at least to me it doesn't sound like it was recorded during the Southpaw sessions.

And of course, you’d know.

Morrissey - Record Store Day 29th August

Record Store Day is finally happening!! Glad they managed to go ahead with it. Let's all enjoy before the second C19 wave and buy music to cheer us up.
Morrissey 10" picture disc will be in my shopping bag. I just wish it had at least a new track.

3 track, 10” single, as an innovative transparent photo disc in a clear PVC bag, with all audio on one side. Tracks are taken from the 2009 Deluxe re-issue of the Southpaw Grammar album, and were recorded at the original 2005 album sessions. The album celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2020. The tracks and artwork for this new Record Store Day release were chosen by Morrissey.

PS. For a future new album, I think he should choose a photograph of his mum as a tribute.

That reminds me...The lady in the record looks like she wasn't always a lady...

A surprising choice from Sammy...
