Naturally in this Fiona's stink piece there is no indication whatsoever as to what truth Morrissay has been trying to say that has got him silenced. He's just an aging artist in artistical decline and prone for saying ill-considered things. The world doesn't owe him a record contract.
Artistical?

No British person has ever heard of him.
I think plenty people with an interest in 20th century literature has heard of him and even read him. I’m not sure where I first heard of him, but it might have been in university. He’s really great and it’s a shame that he and similar poets/authors aren’t more widely known.

Do you think he should make a statement about incidents he's not commented on, and if he did, no matter what he said, can you really imagine any better reception from the dozen or so full-time howlers on this site who never have a good word to say (Johnny Ray, Redacted, Uncle Skinny, Ryan, Gaylord Deepstar et al)? Here is promotion many demand he do, but then what do we get for our trouble and pain...

What this journalist says about truth-teller John Pilger, and how mainstream media that once fed off him for news deserted him in later years, has parallels.

At this stage, I'd like Morrissey to move on to talking about anything that helps his career - & for him that'll be anything that undermines (or at least doesn't reinforce) the smears against him.

Pilger was written off as a crank when I was growing up, so I didn't know he had a mainstream career until a few years ago.

I grew up watching him doing ITV political documentaries on primetime. Wasn't interested at the time...too young.

Maybe this is difficult for you to understand because you are so out of touch with reality, but there are people who value truth, there are people who would respect Morrissey if he just told the truth. His lying, conniving and finger pointing are cowardly, and another thing you may not understand is you can respect someone's right to have an opinion even if you don't agree with it.

Since you felt you needed to name me AGAIN in one of your posts, I invite you to find the dozens of posts I have made in which I have said I really don't care what Morrissey's opinion is, he is entitled to it, as long as he OWNS it. I also invite you to look back on posts where I have had plenty of good things to say about Morrissey.

Every single one of us you have an issue with are fans who are tired of his extremely bad behavior and complete disregard for fans and other people in general. What's it going to take for someone like you to realize what an absolute horror show he's becone?

He can't get a record deal, he has accused innocent people of trying to destroy his career and even named them in an attempt to encourage his fans to go after them, he has lied about the Capitol deal and Miley Cyrus, he cancels shows and entire legs of tours on a whim without explanation, he walks off stage when he feels like it, he was caught in massive lies re Der Speigel, his band and long time friends have left him, he cannot get along with anyone and he is a massive dick who hides behind Fiona Dodwell when he wants to complain about the fallout from the damage he has done to himself.

"devious, truculent and unreliable"

If you are ok with this, fine. Other people are not. It's that 'difference of opinion' thing you always have a problem with. Get over it.
This is you, isn't it, redacted?

Remember this song?

"Artistic", I meant. English is not my first language. How many languages you can express yourself with?
Artistical is a real word, you're fine

I would love to know if the man is into David Grusch's recent claims, that the USA revovered UFOs and alien bodies since the 30s. I must admit, I have a soft spot for that kind of topic. I want to believe and would like to hear it from the truth-teller Morrissey (not @Styxhexenhammer666 or FiDo) himself.

Moz wrote 'Mute Witness' about a girl having a close encounter with a UFO on Clapham Common, so it wouldn't surprise me in the least.

Langston Hughes might not be as famous as James Baldwin in the UK, but the general topic of "the Harlem Renaissance" is known about and Zora Neale Hurston was one of the writers put back in print by Virago Modern Classics since the 70s, which the young SPM might well have known about from his browsing of feminist bookshops at the time.

James Baldwin isn't that famous, to be fair. Only among intellectuals.

This 2010 documentary made by John Pilger & co is doing the rounds and being recommended for ongoing relevance: The War You Don't See -

I think Adam Curtis lifted quite a few ideas from it, for his also excellent documentary series since, Can't Get You Out Of My Head.

I don't recall Morrissey ever referring to either, but he probably would salute their efforts to show people that world peace is none of your business :tiphat:

Give over, Barcode - you can scarcely speak English.
One uses the word scarce or scarcely to suggest something is unlikely, not to suggest someone is lacking a full command of the English language. I think the sentence you're looking for is "You can barely speak english" which I am suggesting is on full display in your critique of mine.

I'm here all week.

There wasn't much "truth telling" going on re the fifty percent cancellation rate of the recent November/December Australasian tour. Did Morrissey silence himself?
