‘Shit’ is used on ‘How can Anyone Possibly Know…’. It was a word also used by me, immediately after hearing the song.

I gather I’m in a minority, but I really like Tony the Pony.

With Morrissey's concern for radio airplay, it's not surprising he doesn't use coarse language in his songs. However he has no qualms otherwise in his professional life.

No idea what that even means. I am not an aficionado on Moz postcard texts, believe it or not.
How Spencer was given his marching orders, allegedly.
"The fax came through and my wife, at the time, picked it up first,' says Cobrin. "She said "I don't think you should read this." When I read it, I stayed in bed for a week. I couldn't move. There's no point repeating what it said because it's all water under the bridge now, but at the time it wasn't trivial. That was it, he'd crossed the line. It was the cruelest thing you could say to anyone after working together for so long. It still upsets me, but I realise that I'm one in a long line of people who've been treated like that. If there's anything that gets Morrissey upset more than anything else, it's money." A second fax followed. "A much longer one," claims Cobrin, "but there was no apology. It was just more blame, more pointing fingers and being very childish. That was the end of it. I was persona non grata after that."

...Nothing much happens vs I know it's gonna happen.
Well Ben was right.

(Cool song, check it out, youngsters!)

Oh but poor Spenny has no qualms playing in Alain Whytes Morrissey cover band or making appearances at Moz/Smiths conventions!

I long for the day when we will hopefully see the end of posts like this where the mere mention of Morrissey's name classifies as newsworthy for a Morrissey fan site. This glorious day with rise upon us with the news of new deals, new albums, new music and new life.
Viva Morrissey!

It's so easy to laugh, it's so easy to hate, it takes strength to be gentle and kind...

Why would a guy who loves Israel, and who knows bad stories can get out, use 'Jew' as a pejorative? Makes no sense

Perhaps, like a member here who recently asked what's wrong with calling someone Asian if they're Asian, Morrissey saw it as a simple statement of fact. On the other hand, he could have been lashing out without thought, in a time when casual racism to intimidate others was fairly normal in our society. I seem to remember this story coming up several times already, so if it isn't true I would have expected a denial from Central by now (as happened on 6th November 2021 on Central regarding an anecdote by John Cho in a YouTube video).

Why would a "guy" who piously lectures people on the evils of eating meat unapologetically, and without even a hint of cognitive dissonance, wear leather while delivering his lecture? That makes no sense either, yet here we are.

Are you new to Morrissey?
