I'm sorry I missed this. Years ago I lived just down the street from The Hermosa Beach venue, Saint Rocke. Back then it was called The Pitcher House, which was as the name sounds along with the sawdust on the floor. And not that far, down the street, in a different direction, Morrissey visited a dance club in Redondo Beach, I can't recall the club name.
Saint Rocke was a pretty cool venue. First I’d been there. They were all pretty cool and it was a good start. Not been to the Malibu venue either.

One more Moz related note… TK Smith (who played in Big Sandy when they opened for M in the 90’s) was there with his wife. He makes the most beautiful guitars and lives here in the desert. They are the nicest of folks and were well impressed apparently. Look up TK Smith on Instagram if you’re into guitars!
Also, check out Hometown Jersey on IG. It’s the company his wife runs that makes old school looking motorcycle racing jerseys. They’re great and I’ll have one one day 😉

Cheers, all! Try to catch one of the last two gigs of you can. Not sure if I’ll be able to live stream through Al’s account or not. Will see what I can do.

Is Nothing Lasts For Ever the Echo and The Bunnymen track ?
How Lost wasn't on Maladjusted is beyond me.
Sure is! Bias aside, I feel Al’s version is as good or better than the original and told him that the first time I heard it. Judge for yourself 😊

I love that they played "Wide To Receive." Very nice rendition.

It's been really fun to see Alain and Spencer collaborate again. I'm looking forward to a full band album with Gaz, Gustavo and Craig.

Seasick... (this show was amazing from start to finish)

It staggers the imagination that this guy wrote so many wonderful, amazing songs for Moz.

I can't remember when I read this, or where. It was a long time ago. A journalist asked Morrissey what kind of guitarist he wanted. Moz said he wanted the one who would steal the lead. Meaning be the frontman in his own band. The passion, the drive, the ambition. I think this is very true in Alain's case. And Boz, too.
