They’re pretty great and the lyrics are sadly amusing. “When I breathe it’s a chore, a pulmonary obligation nothing more”. Unhappy as well has some great lines like “how’s it feel to be someone you like”. “I just wanna be someone I choose”. “maybe I could look like someone else. grow a better face and escape myself” “”maybe I could become someone else. start another file erase myself, I don’t wanna be him why would you”
 



I had totally forgotten about this song till I came across it earlier today. Loved it back in the day! Just been to check whether I have the original in my box of 45s, and I don't. But I do have a Decca 45 dated 1964/5 Marianne Faithfull four tracks including "Come and Stay with Me". Was that supposed to be the first record Morrissey bought? I would have bought this in the early 80s though. Maybe I'll regularly share a track from this box! All from pre-Smiths era.
