Morrissey Central "UK SELL-OUTS" (June 25, 2022)

UK SELL-OUTS

Morrissey is delighted at the immediate high-speed sales for Manchester, Blackpool, Doncaster, Stockton,
Birmingham and the London Palladium. Official ticket sales have been kept between 40 to 80 pounds for all
venues. The Morrissey team is thankful to everyone for being so enthusiastic.

I thought it had been done up? Last time I saw it, it had the Lemn Sissay poem on the side?

I don‘t get up that neck of the woods much these days. Now that North Manchester is a hip place to be (get’s coat). 👀
Keep it that way👍

I don’t even buy tickets on general on-sale anymore. I always wait until they release more a couple of days before the show, or buy them on Twickets the week of the show, often for face value or less. Never have an issue.

There's a cash register ringing and
It weighs so heavy on my back
Someone please take me home

Was it Morrissey who put out the audio of words formed in his own racist mouth and spoken from his factually racist small mind?
#DerSpiegel
Morrissey gave people too much credit thinking that his words would be debated and the issues would be talked about. Instead, which he should have known, they jumped on the surface of what he was talking about and called him a racist. Please don't look on the surface of my comment and do the same.

I just checked. There’s still plenty of tickets left for every date. 😂😂😂😂

The poem is still on the side (just about) but it's been closed for a few years and it's slowly rotting.

What’s JM got to do with any of this? Bizarre you’re bringing him up. 🤔
This post is ill-conceived on two fronts. Johnny has sold out Manchester O2 Apollo several times, for instance. He and Moz are playing in similar sized venues now, which Johnny often sells out. Secondly, the Pretenders are a respected band - enough for Moz to cover their Back on the Chain Gang which is one of his better covers.

Yep, I'm the same and it is indeed usually fine. There are tons of digital touts out there these days (many of whom don't even consider themselves to be touts) who hoover up tickets as soon as they're released without really knowing what the true demand is, the date closes in and they just can't sell the tickets on without a drastic price drop. It does still depend on the fanbase size though. Had Paul McCartney or Coldplay announced this size tour, there'd be no cheaper ones available nearer the time.

Odd comparison there. Morrissey is the alternative, even if he likes it or not, in regards to being sold to the general public.

Not odd - they've both got massive fanbases so this size tour would never have cheap tickets become available nearer the actual dates. But the Morrissey tour probably will although we won't know for another 3 months or so.

Still this the Smiths story…. Why can’t anyone truly appreciate Boz and Alain? They’ve contributed their weight in gold to Morrissey’s career but yet, we always go rowing back to the fashionable 80s Jason Donovan mullet character ffs.

They have ‘massive fanbases’ for reasons that Morrissey being the alternative would not have. That’s why I said it was odd comparing Morrissey to those two.

Yes, remember that Alain has written more songs with Moz than Marr. Exciting that Alain is back performing with M and wrote music for the new album. Wonder whether Boz will be playing with Moz in Vegas or on the UK tour?...
