M appeared on Steve Wright’s BBC Radio 2 show about 15 years ago and they got on very well. There is a bit of a steal from an Alan Bennett television play The Old Crowd in this. “Smoke may rise in the Grasmeres” which I think is a place in the Lake District of the UK.
