Maybe it's inconsiderate to expect Moz to connect with the suffering of so many people in Ukraine but right now his list of countries/radio play seems so out of touch with reality, selfish and shallow. There is more to Moz than this.

Given Morrissey's dismissal of 'the mainstream media' and preference for getting his facts from alternative Youtube commentators, I wouldn't even presume to know what his opinion is on the Russia/Ukraine conflict, or what side he is on. Moz circa 2022 could support either side, or neither, and it really wouldn't surprise me.

And then he posts these stats on his site. Has Morrissey toured South Africa? Jamaica? Thailand?

That Central post could be one of his worst yet. Although, when Kobe Bryant died, and Morrissey posted pics of a tearful Kobe Bryant fan with a Morrissey tattoo? That was a pretty low point.

Not sure why certain individuals on here are getting all upset & making ridiculous claims that Morrissey doesn’t care about Russias invasion of Ukraine just because a post has appeared on his website that discusses something other than said invasion.

Get a grip.

As horrible as Putin’s war crimes are, it doesn’t mean that the rest of the world has to refrain from any activity that isn’t changing their social media profile pictures to the Ukrainian flag, or that every post shared must be written in yellow & blue and only echo what a bad man Putin is.

I'd wager that you could run a poll on more or less anyone remotely similar to Moz and the results would be the same.

How much airplay does Frank Turner get in the Philippines? How likely are you to hear an Elvis Costello track in Russia? Everyone gets more airplay in the States. There's genre based radio stations, college stations, Satellite radio is more prevalent. The researchers should work for state the obvious multi media FFS.
