"Britain's Foremost Morrisey Impersonator - Harry Hill" performs "Panic"

From David T. (a different one):

Harry Hill performed "Panic" while dressed as Morrissey as a duet with Ian Lavender (who used to play Pike in the cult BBC sitcom, "Dad's Army") as the closing number of his off beat comedy show this Sunday. Bert Kwok (who used to play "Cato" in the Inspector Clouseau movies), who co-stars with Harry Hill accompanied the duo by making a rhythmic rustling sound with the polyester clothing he was wearing.

Readers of this site will remember that Harry Hill appeared late last year as Morrissey in Celebrity Stars in their Eyes, when he performed "Charming Man" rather well.

From Adam:

Remember Harry Hill "did" Moz on Stars In Their Eyes?

Well on Harry's latest Tour Adverts (for his Oct-Dec 2000 dates), right at the top of the advert it reads:

"AVALON PROMOTIONS LTD PRESENTS BRITAINS FOREMOST MORRISSEY IMPERSONATOR - HARRY HILL"

The ad I'm looking at now is on the back of the Guardian Guide.

"Shyness is nice" - L.A. Times

From DJJonLenin:

It's minor, but some editor at the L.A. Times if obviously a Smiths fan. Check out the sub-head of this article...

Taking the Pain Out of Painfully Shy
- A research finds that shyness doesn't have to stop you from doing all the things in life you'd like to.

By BERNARDO CARDUCCI, Psychology Today

At the core of our existence lies a powerful drive to be with other people. There is much evidence that in the absence of human contact, people fall apart physically and mentally; they experience more sickness, stress and suicide than well-connected individuals. For all too many people, however, shyness is the primary barrier to meeting that basic need.

For more than two decades, I have been studying shyness. And in 1995, shyness pioneer Philip Zimbardo, PhD, and I summed up 20 years of research, concluding that the incidence of shyness is increasing. I also ran a small survey that included five open-ended questions asking the shy about their experiences.
