one of the problems of being on an indie label is tour support

we have been ask to open for many bands on tour

Chumbawhumba (remember them?). Pulp, etc. etc.

but the problem lies in money they usually only offer about $200.00 which is enough to pay for the roadies (not to mention, 7 band members, hotels, gas, daily meals, etc. etc.) so we would be operating at a loss (the band is on salary)

when bands have major labels they pick up the slack of what they don't make on the road exposure is good but its necessary to have tour support to open for a bigger name

when el vez headlines his own tours he makes a profit...
