Noel Ernest Edmonds (born 22 December 1948) is an English television presenter, radio DJ, writer, producer, and businessman. Edmonds first became known as a disc jockey on Radio Luxembourg before moving to BBC Radio 1 in the UK, presenting the breakfast show for almost five years. He has presented various radio shows and light-entertainment television programmes for 50 years, originally working for the BBC, later Sky UK and Channel 4. After presenting children's Saturday morning programme Multi-Coloured Swap Shop (1976–1982) and various other programmes for the BBC like Top of the Pops between 1972 and 1978 and Top Gear (1979–1980), he became best known for presenting Noel's House Party on BBC One for eight years between 1991 and 1999. The show achieved 15 million viewers at its peak and originated the character of Mr Blobby. After a hiatus from broadcasting, Edmonds presented the game show Deal or No Deal on Channel 4 between 2005 and 2016.
