This compilation was originally released on Sire in 1987 in USA and Canada only. That year, substantial quantities of US Sire pressings of all formats were imported into the UK and distributed by Rough Trade Distribution / The Cartel. As such the imported version entered the UK Album Chart in May 1987: https://www.officialcharts.com/search/albums/louder-than-bombs/ Subsequently, Rough Trade manufactured a UK version which was released in 1988. 1988 UK pressings can be identified by the use of the Rough Trade logo and catalogue number system: ROUGH 255, ROUGH C255 and ROUGH CD255.
