American producer and sound engineer from Boston, Massachusetts. Started out at Fleetwood Recording Studio, which was owned by a cousin, and Music Designers. In the late 70s moved to Los Angeles, California, where he worked at Cherokee Studios.

Joe Chiccarelli is an American record producer, mixer and engineer, who is a native of Boston, Massachusetts, and has been active since the 1980s. He has produced albums by Jason Mraz, Morrissey, Oingo Boingo, Spoon, Young the Giant, The Shins, The Strokes, My Morning Jacket, Alanis Morissette, Augie March, Manchester Orchestra, Minus the Bear, Boy & Bear, Kurt Elling, Saints of Valory, and Big Talk. Other artists include Elton John, Rufus Wainwright, U2, Counting Crows, Beck, Etta James,The White Stripes, Jamie Cullum,John Prine, Grace Potter,Joan Baez,Al Stewart, Tori Amos, Sandra Bernhard, The Killers, Cage The Elephant, Cafe Tacuba, Pink Martini, The Shelters, Christina Perri, Third Eye Blind, All American Rejects, Vanessa Carlton, The Offspring, Plain White T's, Rachael Yamagata, Michael Bublé, Glenn Frey, Vance Joy, Teagan & Sara and Stan Ridgway. Chiccarelli also engineered Frank Zappa's albums Sheik Yerbouti, Joe's Garage Acts I, II & III and Tinseltown Rebellion, and engineered the White Stripes 2007 album Icky Thump. He also engineered The Raconteurs, Consolers of the Lonely, for which he received his eighth of Eleven Grammy Awards, for Best Engineered Album of 2008. He is responsible for album sales well over 60 million and currently 12 Billion Streams.
