Profile
"Electronic" began as a Bernard Sumner (Joy Division, New Order) solo project, but became a duo in 1989 with Johnny Marr (The Smiths) aiming to follow a more "electronic" style of music, blending synthesizers with guitars and rock with contemporary dance music. First signed to Factory, later to Parlophone. Despite international commercial success and collaborations with Neil Tennant, the band is on indefinite hiatus since 1999.
