Lyrics

Pasolini is me
Accattone you'll be
I entered nothing
And nothing entered me
Till you came with the key
And you did your best, but...

As I live and breathe
You have killed me
You have killed me
Yes, I walk around - somehow
But you have killed me
You have killed me

Piazza Cavour - what's my life for?

Visconti is me
Magnani you'll never be
I entered nothing
And nothing entered me
Till you came with the key
And you did your best, but...

As I live and breathe
You have killed me
You have killed me
Yes, I walk around - somehow
But you have killed me
You have killed me

Who am I that I come to be here?

As I live and breathe
You have killed me
You have killed me
Yes, I walk around - somehow
But you have killed me
You have killed me

And there is no point saying this again
And there is no point saying this again
But I forgive you, I forgive you
Always I do forgive you...

"You Have Killed Me" is the first single from English alternative rock singer Morrissey's eighth studio album, Ringleader of the Tormentors (2006). The single, written by Morrissey and Jesse Tobias, was released on 27 March 2006. Morrissey said it would showcase the "marked difference in sound" brought about by the new influence of Tobias on Morrissey's work while Billboard magazine described it as a "simple, effective first single". Upon its release, the song peaked at number three on the UK Singles Chart and reached the top 10 in Denmark, Finland, Ireland, and Sweden.
