believe anything on this site anyway). Here's a Yahoo!

Unloveable - an amateur film
Thanks to Søren Pedersen for the link to Unloveable, a 10 min. 45 sec. short film. It's today's pick at AtomFilms: Unloveable UK | 10:45 Comedy International Director: Peter Naylor, Carl Hunter Producer: Domestic Films Principal Cast: John Daniels, Megan Ott Presented in conjunction with the Edinburgh International Film Festival Synopsis A young American's search for meaning takes her under bridges, to graveyards, inside coffeehouses, and outside the Manchester mansion of angst-rocker Morrissey. One local lad has seen it all before -- and he's ready to cash in! Definitely worth checking out (one of the funniest things I've personally seen in a long while). The Real Player G2 is required - for some reason the link on their page wouldn't open up on my IE browser, but it worked with Netscape. If you want to just type in the URL into the Real Player "open location" feature, I've put them in this text document.

Irish tour not 'absolutely' confirmed
OK, maybe it's not totally
confirmed at this point. So consider it still a rumor. From
ct:
As
regards to Morrissey playing the National Concert Hall in
Dublin: I went over there to check it out but they say it's
not absolutely confirmed and probably won't be until early
in September.

Mojo Nixon interview mention
From Peter Lynn:
Morrissey
fans might want to take note that he is mentioned in a
recent interview
with musician Mojo Nixon that was conducted by "The
Onion's A/V Guide" with regards to his new album.
An excerpt is as follows:
O: Your
cover of "Girlfriend In A Coma" was a nice way of
taking a jab at Morrissey.
MN: That song lends itself to Mojoness very well.
Morrissey is pathetic. He doesn't eat meat, he doesn't get
laid, and he's crying all the time. He's like an 8-year-old
kid whose dog gets run over every day at 4:30. He's kind of
an easy target.

Noel Gallagher's statement re: Johnny Marr
From Ken Joyner:
Noel and
Liam Gallagher held a press conference concerning the
departure of Bonehead, and now Guigsy, from Oasis. Someone
asked a question about Johnny Marr as a replacement for
Bonehead:
Q: What
about Johnny Marr?
Noel: Johnny who? Johnny's doing his own thing at the
moment.
A short statement, but one nonetheless, and a little bit
relevant to the site here. I pulled this from the transcript
located at NME.com.

Momus mentions Morrissey again
From Sadia:
...in his Column,
Momus mentions Morrissey in the last paragraph.
"...At the
very worst Kris, had he lived, might have followed
Morrissey, Derek Jarman and Pasolini down the steep,
masochistic path which leads to straight rough trade and the
sexual desire for one's own nemesis. A rocky route to
destruction known also to the small percentage of jews who
are anti-semitic, and 100% of Maoist intellectuals."
