Regarding [[I Don't Owe You Anything]], Andy Rourke stated in Select Magazine (April Ed., 1993): <blockquote> "John Porter suggested getting that bloke Paul Carrack in on keyboards to see what would happen, and I thought it really brought it alive." </blockquote> In [[Morrissey & Marr: The Severed Alliance]], [[Johnny Rogan]] quotes John Porter (regarding [[Reel Around The Fountain]]): <blockquote> "We didn’t do anything like justice to the song,” he lamented. “It was never as successful as it should have been. I put Paul Carrack on piano to add a bit of colour because it was a little lifeless on record. We needed more time.
