Born 26 November 1923. Pat Phoenix was best known as an actress, playing Elsie Tanner in the ITV soap opera Coronation Street. She appeared in the show from 1960 until 1973, and again from 1976 until 1984. On her deathbed, she married her third and final husband, long-time lover Anthony "Tony" Booth. He was the father of Cherie Blair, who is married to former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair. Pat died on 17 September 1986, aged 62.

Patricia Phoenix (born Patricia Frederica Manfield; 26 November 1923 – 17 September 1986) was an English actress who became one of the first sex symbols of British television through her role as Elsie Tanner, an original cast member of Coronation Street, a role which she portrayed from its first episode in 1960 until she quit the role in 1984. In Elsie Tanner, she is credited with creating one of the most famous characters in British soap history.
