On 26 August, 2012 it was announced that Morrissey would be appearing on "The Colbert Report".[2]
Morrissey and his band appeared on The Colbert Report on Tuesday, 9 October, 2012. The broadcast included an interview and performance of People Are The Same Everywhere. I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris was also performed and later streamed as a "web exclusive".
